guys, the 0.0 map is a service. how about having 2 or 3 0.0 map makers instead of one. it'd be pretty boring and unbalanced if everyone read the same newspaper and watched the same news channel.
besides, everyone involved in the fighting in 0.0 has their own opinion and will ALWAYS disagree on whats going on anyways because of their own bias. this was never a problem in the past with quaraths maps, so why suddenly is it an issue?
it is my opinion that this looks like another attempt by forum mods to unrightfully detract from the game experience in my opinion.
put the map back up, and let turrets talk, mmk.
here are my definitions:
1) A region is claimed by an alliance or faction under the following:
a) in a Non-NPC station 0.0 region (i.e. delve, detorid, period basis, etc.) forces have held stations for a period of more than 2 weeks.
b) in a NPC station 0.0 region (i.e. curse, fountain, great wildlands) controlling forces occupy and maintain dominance over hostiles 51% of the day or 80% of peak time (to be later defined by eve-i number of players logged in the game throughout the hours), and numbers of pilots in battle comprise less than 50% of pilots in space in that region. the duration of the preceeding scenario must occur for 2 weeks, and must allow for 2-3 days exceptions where the above conditions are not met.
2) A region is contested by alliances or factions under the following:
a) in a Non-NPC station 0.0 region forces have engaged in battle containing numbers 30% or greater of total pilots in space in that region at time of battle atleast once on 5 days out of the 7 day week. station ownership trumps this condition.
b) in an NPC station 0.0 region forces during peak-time hours are active and engaged in battle amounting to 30% or great of number of pilots in space in that region atleast once a day for 5 of 7 days of the week. the duration of the preceeding scenario must occur for 2 weeks, and must allow for 2-3 days exceptions where the above conditions are not met.
Pilot definitions:
pilots docked, mining, trading, cowering in POS, safespots, or otherwise unengaged are NOT players engaged in battle.
Pilots actively engaged in PvP are considered in battle.
