As pirate i want "happy sheeps" that are able to make tons of ISK in 0.0. "Happy sheeps" do not open rebellion topics - they loose 10-20 % income to the roaming pirate gangs and still are happy. It¦s totally true: it doesnt make sense to have a huge alliance in 0.0 - not enough content in 0.0.
But i disagree with Xetic in "things that have to be changed". Long ago i said sec. hits in 0.0 would help a lot to reduce random ganking. I also said "refineable shipwrecks" would add a lot of fun for all involved sides. EVE is in a state where it has roundabout 2000 "pirates" in 0.0 - the few pure indutrial players in 0.0 cant enjoy this. What they need is:
- ISK can be made in 0.0. Empire should be pure N00b area. - minimum security in 0.0 by giving sec. hits for random attacks. - 0.0 needs to be settled in large scale. The POS need to be much more usefull and provide tons of ISK. But they also have to be destroyable for groups smaller 200+ players.
The old keywords "risk vs reward" have to work! If a POS doesnt bring money it has no "reward", if it cannot be destroyed it has no "risk"! Same for 0.0 pirates: if they don¦t get sec. hits they do not risk anything ganking a hauler, but the reward may be high.
CCP...use "risk vs reward"...this is the key to a funny game to all sorts of players. An industiralist player is still happy if he has tons of ISK and a POS and a lovely mining barge he can run 23/7 while he gets ganked 1-2 x per month.
Somethimes i think the whole POS system is crap. POS that log in like ships and can log out with a delay of 10 minutes (while being destroyable for a group of 5 BS in 5 minutes) would have been the better solution. The whole fuel idea and uberdefences are not working good. The actual POS make their owners mining slaves that dont get ISK for their work. Also pirates have no fun attacking these POS because they are too heavy defended (as long it has fuel).
However - CCP now has the bill for not listening to their longtime players. Tweaking guns&missiles for 1,5 years, new content reduced to some new ships and some agent missions. And soon ECM might be changed - one of the things that are ok - never change a winning team. ECM is fine...POS are not. 0.0 is not ok. It¦s still not settled after nearly 2 years EVE - what went wrong???

Nono Discorperation! It¦s not that easy. Xetic is one of the strongest or maybe TEH strongest industrial force in EVE. These players keep the market and production running. They have a right to have fun like a pirate players should be able to have fun for his 10$/week. Risk vs reward is the key - CCP should give them all they demand - but at high risk!

This happens since i play eve! Carebear-masses make CCP change the game. This is not new and also PVP-alliances (i wont say names) do mass-post to have influence on CCP. Especially you are one of these players that use numbers in forums - and on the battlefield.
You have to understand that you wont much PVP in 0.0 if the industrial players arent settling 0.0. Happy industrial players in 0.0 cause happy pirates in 0.0 - quite simple.

will cause that wannabe-ebilganker thinks twice to ruin his sec. rating and will reduce ebilgankers to Ass, Jokers, Bonecollectors, Teddys, TDGs and some other smallsized piratecorps.
-> remove wars in empire completly & make empire N00b area (bad agents, bad NPCs, bad ore, high production costs, high research costs).
Will cause that N00b is totally safe. production-mogul is forced to go to 0.0 and cannot do carebearing 2 years in empire.
-> Make POS usefull & vulnerable:
Will cause that production_mogul is happy and runs crazy to built up several POS. Also ebilganker is happy because he trys over and over again to destroy production-moguls POS.
