b ut this is my personall opinion..
compare EVE to real life (RL)
ok, the modern day is fairly free and easy, we dont have to protect our land from pillagers and bandits any more.. but we did a few hundred yeard ago..(squaters and ***** heads are still about) which could be a replacement i guess..
but my point is.. in RL,
why do you think night clubs have bouncers??
to stop riff raff getting in, or generally stop unwanted peeps from entering..
yes we have concord = our modern day police.
if you are claiming land/space.. you need to police it your selves.. which involves creating an army, or being able to muster up enough people to defend the area when needed.
but there are places on out planet that has no police, eg.. north & south pole. damgerous land, with no healthcare, no public services, the odd visitor..
just think.. if you wanted.. you could get a group of mates that are fed up with following the rules of our world.. and all move to the arctic, no one there to bother you, or police you.. yeah, ok there are some dangerous locals about.. but you can either avoid em, or take em on head on..
what you are saying seems to be rather hypocritical, seing as you say that there are PVP'ers in your 0.0 space, and you dont like fighting em. or what ever..
so what your basically saying... is simply take away the sec status system totally, so that you find nice expensive Crokite in 1.0 security??
the reason you want to be an alliance on 0.0 is b'cuz the profits that can be made from inhabiting it..
if you dont want grief, keep your alliance in 1.0..
the way i see it.. is if you wanna live the high life in 0.0, you need to be able to defend yourself, if you dont want threat.. stay in high sec..
and remember..
the bigger you are.. the easier you are to see...
oH..
and i know blobs are a REAL pain in the ass, but people really do get bored of sitting in a blob.. they barely get any action, and when they do, they get about 1frame per hour.
and they arent exactly hard to avoid or see coming..
