Both the forums and the game itself work beautifully on my Blackberry Playbook. The forums act fine on the Playbook's native browser, and the client can be streamed via remote desktop with surprising fluidity. I really wasnt expecting to be doing any sort of gaming on this device but now i can go days without even using a PC |

Maybe not for long, I got the Playbooks a couple weeks ago on sale at $99 dollars which is a far cry from the original $499 MSRP when they came out last year.

That is just like the complete opposite.
wat? plenty of mac people 'round hurr (i'm not one of them, I despise mac) me too, they aren't good for anything :i
Both of you can suq it!
The wife has destroyed at least 2 PC''s since I bought the Mac.
We got new phones earlier this year. I told her to get the iphone like me. Someone else told her the Thunderbolt was where it's at. She hasn't stopped bit-chin since.
Apple products are superior to all other. Only benefit to other products are software/hardware producer cater to the lowest common denominator, just like public schools. Do not assume-áanything above this line-áwas typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient. Nerf it cause I can't fly it. I am not an Apple fan.
That being said the iPad I picked up for my wife is one of the handiest tech items I have ever purchased for day to day use... particularly by my little girl. She can use it easily, access Netflix, books (with a lot of kid friendly features), and any number of educational programs all by herself at any time.
It's in use as much, if not more, than my desktop PC at home.... from anywhere in the house. To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors. If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base. |

It's about half the size of my laptop(surface area), thinner and lighter. The battery last the whole work da. Stream netflix all day without draining it. My laptop only last a couple hours, if it doesn't overheat first. Yes my laptop can do things my ipad can't, but the ipad can do most things I want to do. Except play eve. I don't use remote access, that stuff makes me nervous. Do not assume-áanything above this line-áwas typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient. Nerf it cause I can't fly it. I was visiting my parents, avid Apple fans, when i bought the Playbook. The first hour I was tinkering around with it I found at least 5 different things the PB could do and my dad's ipad couldn't do. flash/multitasking/network shares/gps receiver/plays any sort of media format you throw at it, just to name a few. |

I'm sure iPad / iOS 6 is good for someone. But for me, i'm just getting more stupid by using that (yes i have tested iOS 6, because i have tested iOS 2, 3, 4 and 5 that is pretty much 100% the same as iOS 6), because it's made to hold your hand while your using it, that will say it's so poor on functionality that i'm rather getting pissed / fustrated over it.
I know it's good when things are easy to use, but when it's made way to easy to use, then it rather gets boring very fast.
Android 4.x.x ---> is the future of mobile devices. The reason for that is because iOS doesn't develop at all compared to Android. My current EVE videos.

There are some good metegaming apps on android for EVE though. With CCP working on WoD, I have no hopes for a portable version of EVE for the future, sadly. It's being done on Tegra with other mmo's though, but CCP is rather targeting the console gamerz presently EVE would run well on android using the older models.
If you have been looking at the Nexus 7, rumors are they are producing a $150 model, should be around soon. They are basically sold at cost, Google makes no money from them, so you are getting something of a much higher caliber than an entry level tablet. |

I've had both iDevices and Android products. I'd have to have an honest non trolling opinion here...
Any iDevices are easy to use/setup, but you're very limited to what you can do. You have to use iTunes for any media transferring, which is utter complete BS! And you have to convert file types to watch any vids.
Android on the otherhand takes a little getting used to, but that just might be from using iDevices for a few years now. The one thing I like is native everything! No jailbreaking of any sort is needed to do something, like use emulators! It took me all of 2mins to figure out how to install the emulator (available for free in the store) and when you connect the device into a computer, it shows as a normal USB device, and I have full access to the file system! Drag and drop, back and forth! Did I fail to mention that it supports all video formats?
Price wise, Apple blows! Brand new iPad costs what? $800 give or take? And what's its specs? Dual core 1GHz, 16GB, with a battery life of 7-8 hours? I spent less then $300 on my Nexus 7 with carrying case! Quad core 1.3GHz anyone? I have managed to get 13 hours of battery life through constant usage. Same amount of memory though.
Oh yeah, failed to mention the part about the ability to see any and all files within my home network, and stream all programs/music/pictures, and this is right out of the box! Since EVE will be pay to win very soon. --> 65 Mil SP subcap pilot/45 Mil SP Caldari-Indy Cap pilot looking for Powerbloc Coalition... |

Ignore all of the assholes an idiots that feel they are superior to you for not owning an iPad. I guess they're just butt-hurt because they don't have one of the best-selling tablets with the fastest processor, highest resolution screen, best mobile GPU, and best design on the market. I have an Android phone, iPod Touch, home built desktop, and MacBook Pro. Each has their pros and cons (though I, personally, can't wait for Windows 8 tablets coming out soon - Android tablets are too undeveloped).
Anyways, I don't have an iPad, but for playing EVE on your iPad, you could try buying an app, "Splashtop 2"... It connects with a client on your computer that you can use to play the game with, if you have any Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I've seen videos of it running pretty smoothly, but then again, it might not work at all because of the lag (depends on your internet connection and latency). |

This seems like one of the classic mac vs pc arguments http://www.lolhome.com/img_big/funny-picture-1368862688.jpg "A genius throws a Molotov cocktail and soon realizes that he's going to die choking in a maze of smoke and flame. A hero drinks a Molotov cocktail and soon realizes that if he does a split in midair, he can hit twice as many zombies per kick. Drunk hero wins again, wusses." ~Cracked.com |
