This message is an official statement from the CEO of the Caldari Assault Group, mercenary unit.
Following the lack of compliance of the C.V.A. to submit to the Star Fraction demands re: the release of 500 Sebiestor slaves, the Caldari Assault Group has been offered a contract by a free relative of one of the Sebiestor slaves.
The vote was preposed at 0328hrs 18/03/05 and will be complete either way 0328hrs 19/03/05.
In the event of the wardec being approved hostilities shall commence immediately.
We (C.A.G.) wish to state that that we have no opinion regarding how one empire runs within its own borders according to its own laws. This contract is a matter of our profession and should it be passed we will implement it with all the skill and dedication we have.
A further announcement shall be made once the vote is complete, giving any applicable rules of engagement as deemed appropriate by command.
Thank you for you attention

*Waves off the CVA fellows* Pay no mind! Carry on your battle......this one is ours.
CONCORD intervenes within 30 hours whenever we pay full price to take on an Alliance. With a simple merc corp, now the hounds can finally be unleashed.
You have both my deepest thanks, and our solemn vow of no quarter.
Have a day!

The vote on wether to accept the contract is still active, but assuming no futher contracts are offered the a state of war shall exsist between us.

In the event of the vote passing to declare war is this to be C.V.A.'s rules of engagement? C.A.G. command has yet to decide what rules of engagement would apply, but it is likely that we shall reply in kind.

A fair question and infact the validity of the client's claim is part of the vote on wether to accept the contract or not.

One of the issues we're having here, is that they're trying to control space outside of their own borders. As far as i'm concerned that's not acceptable.
If your vote goes through, best of luck. It'll be good to see some more Caldari on the battlefield.

Strikeclone, I should slap you across the face were we in person.
I am not and have never been CVA. You disapoint my eager Captains! They seek a foe that can actually operate a clone interface to access information! Such overbearing unprofessionalism brings us ill at ease, afraid that we may be destroying crews and Captains who never had a chance.
Our rules of war are quite different to CVA. We do not follow thier lead, only that of the Empire and her people. In defending Amarr space from invaders, our cause is fulfilled.
Come unto me, so that I may cry out "Who is this under my knife!?!?"

I think you might have fun with this one.
For the mercenary here, as Graelyn said he is not the CVA. His responce to your war dec is his own call and as such he is under no discipline but that he himself creates.

To clarify, I have at no point indicated that you are or were C.V.A. I merely asked if such would be C.V.A.'s rules of engagement, if you do not speak for them do not answer questions directed to them. For I can not abide "such overbearing unprofessionalism".
Futher should we have ever met face to face you would no doubt be as polite and courteous as your posts. But if I were you I would think very carefully before insulting anyone, especially a mercenary commander who by definition is neutral and employable by anyone.
This is a diplomatic thread simply created to announce to the wider world and the directors of C.V.A. that we have been offered a contract against them, and as such is protected under the protocols and traditions of embassy. If you continue to post here I would ask that you keep it relevant and civilized, emotions are running high already and I find your current tone undesirable and unnessasary.

Your arguement is a fair one.
I tend to become irritable whenever I am called CVA. It is a label I have heard lobbed at me many times, by enemies, by allies, even by CVA who are new. It is quite infuriating. So many are unaware of the non-CVA Aligned Amarr Loyalist forces and what they have done to the enemies of our people. Only those on the front lines have seen the true fury, cunning, and utter destruction wrought by an Amarrian Skirmisher Fleet.
We shall meet you with honor. We shall give no quarter. These are our mantras, our ethics, our code.
Come then. To battle.

"Divine Rights" and death threats aside, when responding to such a post it is best to keep a civil tongue. We are mercenaries and will, as such, maintain a professional mind-set when dealing with a contract. Make no mistake, we are here to do a job and that is all. |

Does no one understand we fight for our beliefs, our religion, our culture and our Empire?
We will not give up no matter who takes arms agains us and threatens our way of life...
It seems that THE CALDARI ASSAULT GROUP are taking advantage of an opportune moment.

Two points, one a direct answer to the above quote, the second is a general comment about this thread.
So, firstly C.A.G. is a Mercenary corporation. So by definition we "take advantage" during wars, its the nature of the beast. Please think about what you are saying to avoid futher embarrisment.
Secondly, This thread was intended as a courtesy to the C.V.A. against whom a contract has been taken out with C.A.G. If this is the calibre of replies and posts C.V.A. return against courtesy and embassy protocol then I begin to see why the multitudes declare war as has been inferred.
I would ask and suggest that the powers that be in C.V.A. and their allies take control of what is posted in so far as diplomacy is concerned.
We have been diplomatic to you and request the same consideration now, and in the future be it in war or peace as enemies or as employees.
Thank you for your attention

Are you asking for respect? On what grounds do you deserve any? You ask for courtesy while at the same time declaring war. You will burn for your sins.

Quote: Obviously they have lied or you are lying about having a contract. I think its a shame that some renegades cant make name for themselves without jumping on the bandwagon of celebrity.
Because of course nobody else in the entire galaxy has cause to hire a mercenary group to fight anybody do they Maybe just maybe their telling the truth and some disgruntled minmatar did take out a contract. Stanger things have happened you know. I'd make a rule of not calling anybody a liar miss Wakita given your tenous grasp of conversational logic you know.

Apparently some communications problem caused my messages to vanish. Concord censorship I assume. We Minmatar have always been the disadvantged and oppressed of the universe. I ask Caldari Assault Corporation what is your view on slavery? You fulfill a contract but what is your personal belief? Do you own slaves yourself? Or do you fight for only isk? Your claims of ideology and anti-amarr rhetoric sound almost Minmatar in nature yet you have never been seen or heard from before as an anti-slavery entity. Where do you stand on the issue and why now suddenly do you speak out? Is it for a contract if there even is one of something else?

I have kept my big mouth shut so far, best way of keeping my foot outta it. But suffice to say our personal feelings about slavery are moot. We are here to do a job, a job that we are getting paid to do.
As to our "anti-amarr rhetoric" could you please direct me to this please as I seem to have missed it...
Well I have spoke almost long enough only one more thing to say; I hope that the proud Amarr warriors we face in battle have more tact than some of the posters here.

Perhaps I was incorrect about the rhetoric. Still I find it suspicous you would announce your contract with the line RE CVA vs. Star Fraction when the Star Fraction has said they would not hire mercenaries. If they in fact did not hire you then why would you post that title? Again I must wonder if there is in fact any contract at all. Perhaps this is some kind of Caldari plot to interject themselves into the Amarr Minmatar war? A big press release sure to draw attention with a headline aimed at a new war that is on the front pages of Eve News. What could be the possible motivation for this? I believe some alterior motive is in play here. I would never trust a filthy Amarr slaver yet in this case I find I trust the Caldari even less.

A member of Star Fraction who simply thinks that more help is needed? A concerned person who beleives in the same rights as Star Fraction? Or simply someone who is using the argument as an excuse for conflict?

I can guarantee it is not that option.
Star Fraction does not need mercenaries. Mercenaries fulfil many useful roles for those that, for one reason or another, have no desire to take part in a particular conflict.
Our owner-captains are all combat ready. One of our tenets is that we do not accept into our number those who plan to be 'victims'.
