CNR for more firepower (seven launchers to the SNI's six); SNI for better tank (resist bonuses and eight mid-slots to the CNR's six). Caldari Navy launchers give slightly improved raw firepower stats over T2 launchers due to slightly higher firing rates, but T2 launchers can fire advanced missiles that faction launchers can't - and faction launchers cost fifty times as much as T2's. |

T2 missiles are also going to have some of their penalties or drawbacks removed, soon, according to what I've heard. I've never liked T2 missiles, but after the next expansion I might begin to use furries.

Realy depends on play style and mission you're doing.
many battlesships CNR, many cruiseres Battlecruisers, large distances to travel SNI.
It has one less launcher, but the extra midslots makes it easier to fit TP and AB's.
In the end with high skills and much more Isk the CNR is better. |

Having used both the SNI & CNR I'd say the SNI is better. Yes, the CNR has an additional launcher, but that doesn't really make any practical difference in terms of numbers of salvoes required to pop a BC or BS for example. The other thing I've noticed is that the SNI is less susceptible to damping than the CNR, so on those missions where damping is an issue, rather than sit there waiting for the cycle to finish, you can carry on WTFPWNing the NPCs.
Oh, and the targeting range of the SNI is further too. The men waved their hats, the ladies their umbrellas. One felt they would have liked to touch the steel muscles of the most courageous champions since antiquity. Who will carry off the first prize, entering the pantheon where only supermen may go? |

Well, when I'm carebearing I do it in a Scorpion navy issue.
I used to use a CNR and it is actually quicker in most cases but the SNI means I can do anything else on my second screen and not worry about my carebear ship.
So with this character I can be murdering space face and with my second account I will be earning iskies with super carebear power. |

Tank or gank
Though I found the SNI to be superior. The extra midslot is much more fun and allows better damage on target. Which is a more useful factor than straight up deepees. |

Yeah it's fine if you're looking at another screen. I used to have an SNI for mission running and it made me sick. I sold it.

A SNI applies DPS better as you can fit 2 x target painters plus rigors and get full damage on cruisers with Fury's.
