Well, they may be adding more slots but the lab rentals process is broken. In five days I had my rental fee jump from 3.4 million per slot to 4.5 million. Now I have done the math several different ways and it still comes out as 132 percent increase in five days.
And yes I submitted a petition, not that I expect anything to happen from it, but is everyone getting ripped off like this?

 Waaa waa waa....This is what you people *****ed for now you have it. More slots are open, but OH NO they are also more expensive. Should have left the system alone, because now you will end up paying a hell of alot more than you would have, had you bought one from someone in real estate.

Get a clue you trolls. This is about the price increase being broken and jumping 132 percent in 5 days, not that the price is going up.

it sounds about right to me
3.4M * 1.05^5 = 4.3M
5% increase for every day all slots are occupied, which is almost 28% increase every 5 days

im not sure what maths YOU're doing...
3.4mil + 132% = 7.888mil
when i was at school 7.8mil didnt equal 4.5mil

Your Math is flawed. For example, 50% of 3.4 million is 1.7 million, so a 50% increase of a 3.4 mill bill will be a bill of 5.1 mill. a 100% increase of a 3.4 mill rental will be a rental of 6.8 mill.
A rental bill of 3.4 mill increases by 5% day one (170,000) to 3.57 mill. repeat 5 times and you get a bill of 4.5 mill, which is what you have.

i think what she meant was that the new price is 132% of the old price..
4.5/3.4 = 1.32
but thats how it should be, not a bug

As others have mentioned, this is working fine.
If you take a 5% rise daily for 5 days that's a 27.6% increase.
Depending on how rounded your starting and closing figures of 3.4 and 4.5 are that's in line with expectations.
1.05^5 = 1.276
At the most extreme case of rounding the figures, it could be possible that it might have increased for 6 days, with 1.05^6 = 1.340, but I hope it wouldn't be that, since that would be a discrepancy between how the rent counts the days and how the price rises do.

The increase is (4.5-3.4)/3.4 = 0.32, 32% increase.

Yes exactly from my point of view someone is unable to use % and calculate it properly. You can bet that CCP can do it right. So really % rise in price trully isn't 137%. It works as should be.
I don't discuse if price 5mil per lab is right or wong. If you can't pay for it then go and look around for cheaper. CCP will rise amount of labs in next patch (probably) and this would stabilize prices until people again will not rent them all.

Please CCP raise the price to play EVE in 5% per day for montly fee
And I'm sure that we all see offices and labs being free up! 
Edit: Also we will see less LAG on EVE
