This, I don't think there's a need for hitting the alt key, just make sure the overview window has focus and hit A-Z, 0-9. You probably have your mouse over the overview anyway to call targets.

Typing this entire post took me less time than it takes me to put a "1" next to a dude in EVE.

also should have a shortcut for removing tags, and need more tags, every letter in the alphabet.

This is such a fantastic game, and suggestions like this reduce the Carpal Tunnel factor from all the clicking.

Process of tagging now:

Step 1: Move cursor over the target of choice and right click.

Step 2: Move cursor again half way down your screen, to the bottom of the right click menu and hover mouse over "Tag Item" until the next menu pop-up appears.

Step 3: Now move your cursor over the new "Tag Item" menu which is so small you accidentally drift off the menu and it disappears resulting in repeating Steps 1-3 around 1-3 times.

Step 4: For this example; you now move your cursor to hover over the "Letter" menu until you see a partial alphabet list of tags you may select from.

Step 5: Draw your mouse down the narrow column in pursuit of your desired tag letter, and accidentally slide out of bounds: Go play the Mouse Maze game to increase your mousing skill and start over on Step 1 .

Step 6: Put your beer down and finally make it to your tag of choice without slipping out of the menu boundaries, and select the tag letter Y, for Y am I so bad at playing this mini Mouse Maze game in Eve called tagging?

Step 7: Repeat steps 1-6 for the next 3 targets you are marking.

Step 2: Press ALT and Number Pad 5 (for this example) on keyboard.
Step 3: Profit.
