My character has a -7.2 sec rating and was in a high sec system in a heavily damaged thorax when the patch went online. As i approached a stargate the sentry guns open fired on me. I coudnt make the gate before being destroyed , so i jumped to a station. Same again. I jumped to a planet (no sentry guns) and logged. Iam now stuck in space with no-where to go. If iam to lose all of the work i have put into that character and ship because of a patch going online I will find it hard to renew my subscription, since i have no intention of starting again. Any ideas, suggestions or have you been left with same problem?

I think this is a legimiate excuse for a "stuck" petition, I would be surprized if a GM refuses to move you to a nearby low security system.

I have now been moved. Iam no longer drifting in space in a damaged ship.I have been moved to a station, where i have carried out repairs. Shame really that the station is in a 1.0 system, surrounded by other 1.0 systems. So iam again in the same boat :( another petition has gone in, we await the result...

Well, i think if you use your shield booster you should be able to get through some gates. I doubt they will transfer you to a low sec. area.
This is not a hijack

miz sometimes the gms dont read the text just move u to another system so just send another message stating that u are still stuck and that u need to be sent to a low sec system, that is in the same petition

There is 2 other options you have.
1. Sell your ship and make a run out to pirate space. The guns will not shoot at you in your pod. You will be safe as long as you dont have a bounty.
2. Let a buddy that has not been naughty fly it out for you. Or hire a courrior to diliver it.
Actually I amazed that the GM moved you. It's the equivilent of a bank robber calling on god "Help I am stuck in a bank surrounded by cops... please move me to safty"

I'm also surprised you got moved. Although I lolled when you moved somewhere worse.
you could sell your ship, move your clone, and annihilate yourself...
or bravely charge through the gates.
It's kinda risky being where you shouldn't, eh? .

Reply to message stated that they will not move low sec players to low sec systems. Owing to the fact that when player pirates blockaded gates high sec players faced the sames situation in effect, as such this is just a role reversal. So I have come to the decision to make a run for it and hope that my overcharged mwd and v15 are up to it. If the "great escape" works all well and good, if it fails i will not be renewing my subscription, after all i paid to play a PVP game not to have my hands tied in such a manner to protect the "whining" classes. Fly u giant oversized love boat, fly....

1 Medium Shieldbooster, 1 EM ward, 1 Heat ward allowed me to escape. Either MWD or good shield systems are the solution I guess. ---

I guess Ms. Millions has been naughty, eh?
I'm kind of weirded out they didn't move you - haven't you guys noticed that many systems *changed sec level after patch??* The .8 i was in became a .6 and my alt woke up in the middle of 0.4 in an Imicus. Ouch!
You are in a maze of twisty little asteroids, all alike. |

I don't get it. You were told this was going to happen and you still stay in a high security system.
Are we slow or what?

What I find funny is now tha tthe role reversal is on them they don't like it. This guy has the nerve to say he is going to quit if he loses his ship. I wonder how many people quit when they lost thier ship to him. Even worse he prolly podded them too which made them lsoe skillz, and he isn't even facing losing skillz since the sentry guns wont pod kill. What a loser who can't take what he dishes out. Spelling corrections welcome, but don't expect me to edit my post. |

I have gone back and fourth into secure space many times now. The key is speed. Go fast and they don't hit you as often thanks to the tracking nerf.. er patch.
Also noticed that the longer you stay in sec space the more agro the cops get on you. But a simple logout and log back in seems to fix that nicely. ;)
PS: Cops battleships have slow tracking. Can't even kill me in a shuttle. hehe. --------------------------------------- CSM Chat Log September 25, 2003: Fuhry> Some things we simply cannot test, and therefore we just put it on Tranq. cross our fingers and then get into panic m |

ahhh Booky. The differance between my situation and those players trapped by blockades is that the blockades were run by players , I on the other hand was trapped by software patch. A patch i may add which serves only to protect high sec players in an attempt to stem the mass exodus of people frustrated by the PvP (bloackades)elements of EVE and hence a decline in CCP profits. NEWSFLASH, this game has PvP elements, if thats not ur cup of tea go play the care bears online, because rest assured i will POD kill you if i cross you:) and one final thing, I got out, i left my thorax at a station and egg'd my way out(a minor miracle considering my sec rating and bounty) then bought another thorax whilst setting up courier missions to get my equipment out. All with a little help from my friends. Thanks for the help everyone and the tips on outrunning sentry guns.

Q: Any ideas, suggestions or have you been left with same problem?
A: Let the sentry's destroy your Thorax and travel the rest in an your egg. Your not the only one that has to do that. Think of all the ppl's that have been destroyed by other ppl's, innocent miners and noobs. Being a pirate means that your sec level will drop and that is just an bourdon that you will have to accept. Thorax only costs about 8 mil. CCP is an game developer not the salvation army

Not a pirate myself, but in reply to the prevoius poster:
No, you should not have to accept getting stuck in a hi sec system after a patch. After all, you moved there when it was a low sec system. If you *knew* it'd turn high after the next patch, I doubt the affected player would have entered and logged out in that system. Being stuck is no fun.
Imagine it's the opposite. You sailed into a 0.8 system to do some mining, log out. Come back, it's a 0.0 system with npc pirate cruisers guarding the gate. Sounds fair to you?

The difference between the risk that pirates presented and the sentry guns that orbit the jumpgates are that there were never pirates camping every gate. Unless it was a one way system, you always could leave through another gate. Big difference.

My thought is that CCP really doesn't want gate-camping, noob-podding, kill you in 3 shots pirates in the game, or atleast in empire space.
The ltest patch seems to send that message very clearly.

Hee Hee,im so glad that a evil pirate got a taste of his own Med's. I so wish i could get a pool of acid and put all the evil pirates that have messed up my gameplay in it. Hee Hee im so glad you suffered hee hee. :) :) :)
I hope it keeps happening. I want all evil pirates to suffer for all eternity. Hee Hee.
no i will not be a carebear and quit this cool game, cause i know sooner or later that a pirate that has ruined my gameplay for that time will suffer when someone else comes along that is stronger and destroy's him/her.
Now understand i have met a few friendly pirates but not many.So i dont hate all pirates just 98% of them hee hee.

Personally I think CCP should move her. Regardless of what you may think of her being a pirate, a change made by the developer trapped her. Not some player that you had the option to fight, to outwit or to out-wait.
And if the GM said something about 'role reversal', the next thing out of my mouth would have the FCC salivating at the fines I'd incur. Whoever answered the petition isn't there to pass judgement on anyone.
I mean its like you want corporations to oblige each other like its sex or something. Pffft I would rather **** my enemy.- Rohann
Be careful out there. That other guy waiting in the queue for the gate MIGHT be a baby-munching frock-burner, YOU JUST DON'T KNOW!- Lallante |

Like i said the pirate got what all pirates deserve, the same pain and annoyance they give everyone else.Hee Hee,CCP give them more pain, more pain!! Hee Hee.
I dont care if it was cause of a patch or a player,a pirate got what they deserved, the pain and annoyance they deserve... i serisouly hope it gets real bad for pirates in this game. They should get the same kind of punishment in real life in game, very heavy fines, loss of property, death etc. The GM did his job well. Maybe that person will think twice next time.

get an alt char in a shuttle to make instant-jumping bookmarks of every gate you need to go by to get out of empire space, drop em in a can around a planet in the system your thorax is stuck, pck them up with ur thorax and run for it, you wont even get hit because ull be jumping before the invulnerability of ~10s ends

So ya guys know im just role playing. As ya can see i didnt curse or anything.I hope no one took what i said personaly, its just all fun.
Muaddid; Is that hard to do at all? Im not a pirate or someone with a negitive rateing im just curious. I kinda think it would be hard if your negitive and your in a system with alot of police.
