Like many CEO's, I sometimes have a member who needs to leave the game for X weeks or months for whatever reason. I would like to be able to keep this member in the corporation, but at the same time I also want to ensure I have an updated roster of all my active pilots.
My idea is to develop a 'Corporate Stasis' role that can be applied to members.
As the name suggests, this role will put the member into a Corporate Stasis which will perform the following tasks.
- Pilot is removed from active roster and placed in stasis roster/area - Corp/Alliance Mails are no longer received by this member while in stasis
The CEO can specify how long said member is in Stasis before he is either reinstated or removed from the corp.

I personally would prefer there to be an "Active Members:" Stat in the corp description that shoulds how many players a corp has that have been online in the last two weeks. |

It would require significantly less effort to use, and it would give people an idea of what to expect when joining a corp.
Oh yes, I like this much better :) |

If you joined a bad corp, just leave. |

Ok, how about restricting that info to CEO/Directors or whoever has the personnel role?
At a glance, the leads of the corp can see just how many members in the corp are active. |

I have to ask.
So what if it's free intel?
Deal with it if that's the case. Having 1000 inactive members shouldn't be of benefit. This actually rewards active corps by making it visible to everyone if your an old dinosaur corp that is dead on the inside and on life support on the outside.
Obviously saying 'which' members are inactive is going to far, since that allows very specific pilot targetting, but corps should have to work on active membership (I imagine most already do work on active membership), and making it a visible stat makes that far more rewarding. |

I also agree with this. Both valid point.
As a new pilot though, I want to know that if I am joining a corp, it is going to be active. And I will not waste 2 weeks of my game time sitting in an inactive corp, not to mention not being very encouraging keeping me interested in the game. |
