Been a couple more weeks.... please don't let this thread die
I really don't like people buying isk with real money in the form of timecards
if that isn't bad enough, when some guys were selling these things I made that exact comment "buying isk with rl money in the form of timecards" and I got a convo from a guy wanting to sell me some isk..... even those involved know what it is
PLEASE just let everyone know it is against the rules.... it shouldn't need much debate to see this is bad.

Game time is a real-world commodity. ISK are an in-game commodity. I think the EULA is pretty clear that neither should be exchanged for the other.

People dont sell surplus Timecards they accidently bought too much of, they sell cards as its an easy way to convert $$ to an item thats converted to Isk.
A way around the EULA to Buy isk with $$? you bet!

i can see how it is buying out of game stuff with in game money. there is one problem with this, when time codes came out they said u can give them to anyone with no restrictions or anything. so its completely up to the seller wether he wants to or not. my take on it at least

Deal with it. You arnt going to stop the kinds of behavior that you just dont like because "it cheapens the game". Guess what, its a game, and if I want to buy isk for real cash, it my money, and if I want to buy a game time card for ingame money, I believe I should be able to since, again, its my real world money that got me the isk in the first place. So stop whining because you dont like what other people are doing. Seriously you people remind me of all those protesters that just whine about stuff, and never give any ideas to fix anything, nor do they vote. So just like them, please STFU.

You've missed the piont, nobody is whining about peeps making a profit playing the game, its about dudes that have found a loophole to buy into the game. they dont want to play by the same rules as you and I, they found a game they like, and will simply cheat to get to the top.
Is this how devs planned for people to save up and buy BPO and ships? of course not. they expected people to play by the rules, do agent/mining/pk'ing, and earn isk within the game mechanics provided
Why Have a EULA at all?
The fact that this guy can stroll around spamming every channel 'WTB Isk for $$' is just plain cheeky.
You may have noticed I dont normally post in Whine threads, nurf this, boost that. I dont want to manipulate the game rules to suit my gaming style, I just enjoy what the devs are providing, and gm's are moderating.
This isn't a Whine Topic, its an Expliot Topic. |

Well coming out and saying it is against the EULA would be good....
I for one would LMAO if the guy that bought a pile of cards was banned was stuck with a pile of cards he can't use himself, and can't unload, and ccp keeps the money he paid for them. Would be beautiful
