initially it was just for your post
not an alt either - started with this character before changing races - have not found a way to change the character that i post with (not that i have spent much effort on it)
the only thing i have found seems to cost a little extra cash - no thanks

Honestly I just to throw this out there I think its really pathetic that other players would come on and give someone who lost 500million worth of stuff to a server crash a load of BS about how its their own fault, how the reimbursement policy is great(obviously for those that believe this they have never played SOE games where if you delete your character you can get it back 6months later by petitioning for it), and/or how everyone has had this happen so just deal. If you are one of the people that come on a thread like this and say those type of things you are lame, try thinking about someone besides yourself for once. Disagreeing with anything anyone ever says on a forum doesn't make you cool . I say that because I watch who writes what and I notice that 90% of the people that post negative disagreements in one thread simply move on to post a negative disagreement in another. So I say again get a life.

With how easy these level 4 missions are u should just use basic equipment on your raven then when u get lagged and blasted its no great loss

Firstly let me say this. I am relatively new to playing EvE but one thing that has already amazed me is the levels at which some people stoop to, just to flame someone on a forum.
I cannot believe that people are actually posting stuff like "if you can't afford to loose it, don't fly it..." in relation to an unfortunate incident involving the server issues.
Other people are saying its the OP's fault for doing missions on the 3rd server crash... Who's to say he knew it was the 3rd crash.
Although i am glad to see enough people have already posted indicating the short sightedness of some of these comments.
The bottom line is server crashes or network outages can occur at any time and for a multitude of reasons and loosing a ship and its fittings for those reasons is really bad luck and i honestly hope CCP would reimburse the OP.
And to those who seem intent on pointlessly flaming people, please try and do something a little more constructive or beneficial to the community who play this game. Comments that infer either the OP or any other people who lost ships to the server/network problems are stupid are frankly just pointless and only show (a) a lack of any consideration for others playing this game or reading this forum and (b) show more about the stupidity of the flamer than the person being called stupid.

i lost a crow to the crashes, my corpmate was shooting at me and the burps caused her weapons to fail to deactive, i petitioned it and my little crow was returned in less than 12 hours.
