Well i was pleasently surprised.
well sorta..
I had a lag hot 24 hours ago and found Lucy Fur Attacking me outside a station. Hmmm Sentries aint shooting.
B4 I could do anything she had me down to 80% hull. I activated my armour repper II and ab's and started shooting her.
At this stage I was not prepared to be hit, I had no rocket or missile launcher on.
I webbed her as she did me but still I was faster. I knocked her shields down as I slowly orbited her slowly repairing my self back to around 80% armour.
well at this stage it was a pure stand off , So I made to get away.. I tried to warp off but was very warp jammed.
so at 10km I took off like a bat out of hell she was still webbed ;)
I then took off for a planet and she followed but i had thought Hmmm if i fight her she would have called for friends ao i flew off expecting her to have called in friends/corpies.
anyhoo...
I have since prepped my ship and am more powerful. and if we meet she is in for a pleasent surprise :)
Bottom liine I was pleasently surprised that a Vengence of all ships could go to toe to toe with a wolf.
Any other pilots out there survived encounters with a wolf and being in a assult ship them selves?

Congrats on the dual with a wolf frigate. I fly vengeance a lot and personally it aint a patch on the wolf.

vengeance might survive, but even retribution with 3x hsII done aprox no dmg to wolf(i had like 8 dmg mod & 2.05 rof).
I really don0t know how you might kill wolf with amarr frig...

I have no clue...
But once i was orbiting her she was only barely hitting me..
But yeah I have a corpy who has one we are gonna go head to head and see hwo it goes then I am gonna try out my destroyer on same ship :)

I've fought a wolf in a harpy and I almost killed him (deep armor damage) before his reinforcements showed up and I ran like the coward I am...

the best ship to kill a wolf sure is a wolf.
it has insane EM/thermic resistances so vengeance vs. wolf with equally good pilots sure ends in a win of the wolf.

Gotta say the Wolf does own all the rest Harpy close 2nd, but i never feel safe in any of the others.
Last night i got caught at a gate by 2 crows , and i shat myself, i targeted 1 then got webbed and scrambled, lucily in the panic my 2nd volly totalled 1 crow, then i went for the 2nd, i was minus all my shieled and structure, this was a panic attack, i opened up and he was down to structure, and wapred as did i at 21% strcuture.
But fear the wolf, its a nasty bit of kit, especially with 250IIs and 280 IIs on. U can generally hit for 80 to 200 with it, thats close to a vagabond with 720IIs on. think my vaga hits between 120 to 250 cant rem

enyo 4tw. went toe to toe with a harpy and a ranis. Luckily i was at point blank range from the harpy and his 150s couldnt do crap while my 125s still hit. The taranis came in a nossed me so my disruptor dropped from the harpy and he managed to get out with about 50% structure. I then turned my attention to the taranis but with the harpy gone, he soon turn tailed and ran. I still had 10% armour left

80% loss of speed and I had a 172% AB on :) thats with skills.
