Are they in the game yet? I've heard rumours that the bpo's are actually in the game but the people owning them are too greedy(or too clever) to distribute them into the market. Whats the word on these uber items?

You can check to see if any item exists (In database) by turning off the "show all available" button on the maket screen.
Things that are in the database are not necessarily in the game.
Or necessarily dropping/aquireable except from other players (harvesters)
So, Lemme fire up my market for you...
Large Armor Repairer II 400cap/800armor.
So, it is -in- the database, but that does not mean that
a.) Any agents give out the BPO
b.) Any Players have the BPO
In fact, if any player did have the bpo, I'd bet some serious isk that they would be in production of them. That's like squatting on a Cap II BPO... |

sorry to say this, but whats smart and a wise move if your greedy and got a nice bpo? Noone in their right minds would hug such a valuable bpo just for himself, also when it comes ingame there will be more then one bpo coming out.

Yeah, there would be no cleverness in hanging onto the bpo and only producing for yourself. While the item would provide a decent power boost to whichever corp had it, it's not going to tip the balance so far to make them want to keep it secret.
No, what you could do is hang onto it, keep it quiet, and trickle them out slowly to the market, to keep the prices way, way, high.
But it's more likely that CCP hasn't released them yet. They've been holding back the real game-tipping modules for quite some time now (Expanded Cargohold 2, Large Armor Repairer 2, X-Large Shield Booster 2, Siege Missile Launcher 2, Advanced Ammo).

There are some Large Rep II's out - they were given out as rewards in ISD-Run events afaik.
As for the BPO's - none out.
