Oh look, a desync, how boring.
If you have been playing 2 years and never had a desync you are pretty lucky tbh. Its usually client side so you will probably get "logs show nothing". I have never been desynced 500k though, but i guess the faster your ship the more you can desync. |

I thought that got fixed... Not another infinity gun I hope...
Its much rarer now but seems to be more extreme and happens for no apparent reason where before it usually happened on jumping/bridging into a really stressed node.

Not really, i mean that could be a modified client for all they know.

It's like you are engaged in combat, except you are 500km away and can't do jackcrap. He had me disrupted, so logging off wouldn't do anything. Now that I think about it, I should have tried jumping through the gate they were on even though I was 500km away. Relogging would almost certainly have re-synched you, and you should have had sufficient EHP to have survived a quick relog - although a tracking-disruptor fitted Dramiel would still have likely killed you in any case, since he's ideally fitted to take on larger turret-based ships. Sorry for your loss, but also you seem to be under the impression that small ships shouldn't be able to take on larger ships and win. In that you are simply wrong.
Also bear in mind commands still work, so if you hit approach tower or whatever you will end up at the tower (safe inside pos shields) even though it shows you being far outsid ethe tower on your screen. With jumping through gates/docking in stations it is more complicated as your client tells you you are not in range even though you are (though this could easily have changed since it last happened to me).

Well if anyone did notice they didn't care, not even dev hax mods can increase lock range beyond 249k, its hard coded. It only has a 24k range anyway so whats your point? |

Not really, i mean that could be a modified client for all they know. Of course, but even if the server logs shows nothing it doesn't mean there's nothing wrong. The desync issue is one of those things that may or may not even prompt a flag on CCP's logs; it might not even traceable at all. Same as why CCP haven't been able to pinpoint what's been causing the gate/bridge jump desyncs (the grid not loading issue). The logs hadn't been able to provide them with a cause let alone the solution and they still asking players to post more bug reports almost for that very reason. My point is, even when something's not showing on their logs, doesn't necessarily mean the fault is on client side. There can be a number of reasons. While it's true that screenshots sometimes means nothing, logs are also not something that they should be solely based on for reimbursements.
Yeah but for reimbursement it must be proven, otherwise the game breaks, and if its not on server side they can't prove it unless they impound people pcs or other such extremes.
