So I just listened to the most recent episode of VV podcast and the guest was Snot Shot, some big deal industrial trader and black shadows kind of guy who had to go so far as using a voice modulator to hide his identity. Funny thing is, it was soooo obvious who the man behind the voice is.

If you listen to the vftd podcast and the latest declarations of war podcast at the same time there are clear distinctions notably Alek speaks quicker while Snot Shot is slower in tone.
There are other clear differentiations in manner and tone of verbal communication which are conclusive in dispelling the OP's allegation.

I have to confess; I had the same suspicions as the OP at the start of the interview. It did became clearer through the podcast they weren't the same person. I've had the chance to talk to Aleks more than a few times and began to notice the differences. I would start to name off some of them, but I'd rather not look like a complete cyber stalker since Mr. Karrde is totes dreamy and the Merc of my heart.
A big thank you to Snot Shot for braving the perils of a podcast run by a pawn of the Great Swarm. Voice mod or not, he was an entertaining guest who had interesting things to say. He was also able to form coherent statements which were relevant to the subject matter; which even I have trouble with at times. He has come where others have feared to tread and I applaud him for it. Not everyone is willing to risk their e-rep by making an appearance on Eve Online answer to "The View". He also gave me the great idea to start doing Null Sec battle report segments featuring FCs from those fights which is going to be pretty sweet.
Thanks for all the good reads while I drink my morning coffee. Keep classy and keep posting New Eden.
