Was just about to point out it was odd how the Raven had more or less identical cargohold...
Interesting indeed.
But then, who trusts eve-kills.com these days, with all the fake/test server killmails and all in circulation? ;)

Ive always said, use eve-kills for your own notes. Nothing else. We all know the "best" whatever can never be determined using a killboard of any description.
There would have to be one created by ccp which automatically posts kills/deaths.

As clipped wing said the destoryed items are exactly the same for the vigil and raven, so either u pasted the same again by mistake or Riddlock was taking the ****

This is why Star Fraction doesnt like public killboards. As a publicity tool they are flawed, by the constant arguments over missing and faked killmails. And honestly mean nothing as an indicator of military strength, because people have different military goals. Winning a battle is a matter of who achieves the most of his goals. It is quite possible for both sides to do this and thus view themselves as having won. Arguing over who has "really" won is best left to historians
We use them internally though. --------------------------------------------------

I totally agree with you Baconjoe.. I have never posted a single kill on any killboard because of this. it would be AWESOME if your kill automatically went to a Controlled EVE-Online killboard as part of the game.

I disagree since - no matter how many jollies some players get from it - killboards turn EVE into CS or UT with spaceships.
Totally pointless since we all put different criteria on what counts as 'victory' too. -- ** All accounts cancelled - have fun guys ** |

I thinki it should be publicly recorded automaticly by CCP for all fairness. However the lag may be insane with the server strain.

faking kill-mails is about the lamest thing a pvp player can do imo, infact atm i cant think of a lower thing.

the only thing i found eve-kills useful for is finding out corp members easily and quickly
even if the details are "slightly" incorrect you can still get a feel for what kind of ships etc they fly, tactics/weapons they use plus get details of people they have had problems with before etc.
i guess it would be a good idea to post mis-information on eve-kills that complete contradict what your character is like in game, but some people arent that smart
dd
P.S i havent ever posted on EK.com, my internet connection wont allow it, but i did have the idea that maybe for a killmail to be accept maybe both parties would have to post corresponding mails? it might make the service a little more usefull or accurate

Just a question, is logging of an exploit? Have CCP officially stated that it is an bannable offence yet or what? ______________________

Don't think so, and they're not likely to. The problem is that it's impossible to tell the difference between a deliberate log-off to avoid combat, and a genuine CTD/connection problem/etc from the server end. This isn't a case of CCP being stupid - it's the nature of the transfer protocols used by the internet.
The only way for CCP to reliably tell the difference between a CTD and a cable-yank-out would be to install CCTV in every player's house to monitor their actions.
I believe Oveur has stated on several occassions that it's an unintended method of play, and a bad thing to do. And that they continue to monitor what countermeasures may be introduced without causing more harm than good.
But they're never going to be able to ban people for it, as they simply cannot prove any specific instance was a deliberate act rather than a random crash.

They dont need to ban people for it. They just need to get rid of ships disappearing after 2 minutes if they've been warp-scrambled by another player.
Wow, I just completely fixed logging. I rock.

logging of an exploit? well, while log in traps are very much on the darker side, it falls under the same category, it's too hard to prove, and so, no matter how lame it is, it is highly unlikely that ccp will ever do anything about log off cowards.. simply because some people have crap internet connections, and get disconnected a lot..
how would you like to be banned for having been disconneced too often this past week? :)
