This November the Austin area Eve Online meet up is doing something extra special. We've partnered up with Mothership Books and Games for our very first LAN party. We are very excited to bring you this even and hope this will be the first of many. There are quite a few changes from our normal scheduled events so please read carefully and follow the instructions for RSVPing closely.
The night will begin with a roam starting out of low security space. Please see below for the in-game system where we'll meet. The roam will last for 2-3 hours and will culminate in a Thunderdome. Please make sure you have 2-4 ships pre-fit in the starting system. We will probably be system camped, hot dropped, chased and murdered several times. You might also want to set this station as your clone station and have a cheap clone available for this event.
Date & Time:
Saturday November 10th 7:00pm - 11:00pm CST
Normally our meets are on the second Friday, but Mothership has MAGIC that night, so Saturday it is!
Place:
Mothership Books & Games 2121 Parmer Ln #119 Austin, TX 78727
RSVP:
Only 20 spaces available. All attendees must RSVP on the meet-up.com page to be guaranteed a spot.
Cost:
There is a cost associated with this event and attendees have 2 options.
Option 1: $5 per hour is the normal rate for computer usage. Attendees can pay this upon arriving to the event.
Option 2: $27.50 for 8 hours is a pre-paid combo deal being offered by Mothership. The deal also comes with other bonuses.
Attendees who pick Option 2 will need to pre-pay for the package directly with Mothership Books and Games before the event. Contact them at (512) 516-5067.
Food:
Soda and snacks will be available at Mothership Books and Games. Outside food is also welcome. Poke-E-Joe's BBQ is located next door and there will be 10% off coupons available to attendees.
In-Game Formation:
Aurohunen (Please log out in system and not in station.)
Ship Types:
T1 Frigates and Cruisers. If you want to bring something more expensive of flashy that's fine. Just expect to die.
FC:
I'm not sure yet. If you'd like to FC drop me an eve mail.

Ok guys, so a few more details for you:
We'll be flying Cruisers through Frigates - and for expediency's sake we'll be flying Shield fit ships. - Here is the requested shiptypes:
- Scimitars (Don't be that guy that fits all guns to his scimmy. Fit 3 large reps to your scimmy or I'll pod you myself.) (Basi's also accepted provided they are not alone. Again, don't be that guy that shows up in a lone basi. Have a basi buddy. Or two.)
- Shield Hacs
- T1 Shield Cruisers (Preference given to cruisers that don't use missiles)
- Shield Recons (I'll be flying my delicious falcon at some point during this op.)
- T1 Shield Frigates
- shield AFs(Jaguar, etc)
- Fast Tackle (dramiels/interceptors/hero rifters/etc)
I don't remember what time 7:00pm CST is in eve time, so I'll edit this around 7pm tonight and tell you what eve time we'll be forming up.
And remember gentlemen: Crash and Exotic Dancers on your lossmails means I'll buy you a beer . :p
Also, working on getting permission to use the goonfleet public gaming mumble server for those austinites who can't make it out, will post more later. |

The LAN party is tonight and I hope to see who ever is able to make it. Half the RSVP slots have been filled so if you forget and just so up, there will most like be space available. I will be there around 6:30 and should be sporting my podcast tee shirt. Barring that, look for the black chick with an afro. Shouldn't had to find me.
And Scimitars? It's a frig and cruiser roam. I'm not bring a scimitar. However I am bringing exotic dancers, boosters, cigarettes and a falcon.

That is such a good idea. We could do the meet on a Saturday evening and I could coordinate that for the kegger/open bar. Get some food in there, it would be so much fun. That was be go friggen awesome. We could invite Dallas too. Then we could play spaceships!

Details
The ATX meet up will be hosting a Frigate Free For All and possibly a frigate tournament for this month's meet up. Activities will be on the SiSi server to prevent anyone from going broke from this month's activities. Mothership will be installing Sisi on their computers for us, so be sure to give Derek and his crew a big thank you. Remember, insurance fraud on Sisi is legal, so make sure you stop up ISK so you'll have plenty of ships for the FFFA and Tourney. Tourney depends on how many are interested in participating. These events are Bring Your Own Ship(BYOS).
