I've been Xaven in every game till now since I've started gaming in 2003, just a fantasy name without any special background. Colonel is just a player rank from BF2, when rank prerequisites where actually really hard to achieve (before patch 1.3). |

Every name I've used in online games since the early 2000s has been from one of Tolkien's languages, usually Sindarin or Quenya. I just translate a couple words I think will have some meaning for how I will play a particular character. I have four or five names which I use in just about every game, this character's name being one of them. But yeah, huge Tolkien nerd here. Reread just about everything he or his son has put out every couple of years. |

Started playing games in '90, Wing commander series and my name was Fox.
After getting online (descent 1 & 2) Dutch Fox was taken, so it became NedFox.
Started playing Deltaforce, met a lot of US / UK ppl and from the start ppl called me Neddy.. It stuck.
