My favorites are Guristas Extravaganza, Silence the Informant, and the rogue drone missions. Mordus headhunters and Blockade are excellent also, to name a just a few. I disagree with someone's suggestion for going thru a gate and not being able to exit until you have completed the mission. There is often way too much lag in the game to make this suggestion feasible. When I get into a mission and my launchers or boosters take a very long to turn on or off and what you are seeing on shipreadouts are lagging way behind reality, the only thing to do is get out.
Another thing is, I find it disappointing that you have to travel more to get to your kill missions. This takes considerably longer to get to the site, if you run out of ammo during the mission you hope that there is some available locally, and gathering your loot requires traveling back to site with another ship more suitable for picking up loot because your BS takes too darn long to get from can to can and does not have enough cargo space to begin with. This, however, reduces the number of missions being done in one system and has got to help with game lag. However, I believe it would be better idea not to have so many agents in one system rather than taking the mission out of the agent's system. My current agent is in Niyabainen and there are a ton of agents available in that system from level 1 to level 4. The system traffic is horrendous at times. I would also like to see LP points accumulate by faction not agent. If I wanted to move out of Niyabainen to help reduce the number of players bunched in one area, there is no incentive to do so. I stay there because I have gathered far too many lp points to move on.
All in all, Level 4 missions are a great boon to the game. I like being able to solo them (I lost several BS's learning how to solo them) although I know that some people feel they should be more oriented toward team play. Because of different RL schedules however, getting a team together is not always feasible. In fact it is very difficult as my corp mates are not all doing missions and those that are, are based in scattered sytems for the most part.
I am in agreement that there should be a method developed whereby a player has the option of taking one of several mission offers. This way they can choose a mission suited to their gametime availability.
What kind of player am I? Well I am not a PVPer! I use to primarily mine for isk, and started into missions to get to R & D agents. I currently have three R & D agents and feed them daily! I am beginning to think this R & D venture is a big waste of skill time, and isk. Meanwhile level four missions came into the game and I found them to be much more exciting than level three missions and mining, lol, and much much much more rewarding than R & D agents. I would love to expand upon research agents but I find little information on the odds of ever making this pay off.
I have played Eve since January of 2004 and appreciate the opportunity to share my thoughts.
P.S. Just had Angel Extravaganze for the first time. Jumps gate way too far apart (one 72km from the other). I wish someone would explain the rationale of setting them up like this. If its a deterent from getting the bonus offers well you have already assured that by setting a 45minute time limit. Great mission but I probably will not take again. :(
