The bottom line here guys, is that at one point Xetic had a LARGE chunk of the Eve playerbase signed on with them for their defense pact. Now that huge defense pact no longer exists, due to Xetic violating their own rules of engagement. Perceive that however you wish, but the fact remains that if there was any real merit to these arguments by Xetic and Xetic supporters that our coalition somehow "started" this war, the SCA would still exist. The fact that it doesn't, shows whom the majority of the Eve playerbase believes in this situation.
Now that being said, everyone enjoy the war.

Sorry Sternburg, i have to interrupt you here. SUPRM were very honorable. We wont shoot blue and ppl who were NAPed would have nothing to fear.
You can ask here xJQA, 3rd Front and others, who had to deal with us. We never backstabed anyone of them and respected any NAP we had since the creating of SUPRM.
Yes most of SUPRM dont like Xetic more than mining Veldspar, but we still honored the NAP ATUK and others made in name of SUPRM too. We joined "The Coalition" with all its bad and good decisions. And even if we would have personal grundge against XF, our "orders" or deals subscribed by "The Coalition" were respected. Period.
We still are able to work with ppl we dont like. You can forgive mistakes made by friends just faster than mistakes made by disliked ppl/organisations.
No Mistakes = no Problems. Why were SUPRM able to hold a ceasefire with ppl they dislike when Xetic obviously cant.
Most ppl already recognised why this all escaleted. Right it was CYVOKs "SCA" and his rules for the how you said it "triggerhappy neighborghs".
Dont taunt someone who already only tolerate you or he will hit you without warning.
Think a bit back in time of "Cold War". What you think USA or UDSSR would have done if one of them would have tried to dictate what the other can and what not. Than you have the answer you are searching for.

look the exCA 'angry kiddies with guns' squad cannot be trusted. Trusting ATUK when you arnt stronger than them in military power is like giving the keys to your house to yours sons friends daves stepdad who just came out of prison for robbery 
I dont know about how trustworthy, loyal, and honest Shinra etc. are. Tho id guess any chance to go shoot easy targets they would jump at. ATUK however are scum. I doubt there are very few people in Eve who know ATUK that would trust them without having a gun firmly pointed at ATUKS head or groin.

ItŠs normal for human beings to get a little bit nervous if the Long time enemies are friends from one day to another. Some of these peeps more. some less.

If you check that xetics guys post, it was made on 2005.04.05, you got ganked before the agreement. So stop trying to change the blame. I've fought both Shinra + Xetic before, and I can say without a doubt that Shinra are the more honourable (except for those dual mwd ravens, grrrr )

Okay I really am not in the mood to read all this ****. Basicly my response to this whole is: Does anyone with a sane mind think that this coalition was formed to go mine veldspar in curse or hunt some angels? If you do you are an idiot.
I have no trouble with the war, wars are fun, but I hate how these "campaign" corps(aka drama queens) always need to try to make the other side look like the attackers. Everyone saw this comming, now we are here and lets just face the fact. The coalition WAS gonna attack Xetic whatever Xetic did. They showed this on a few occasions(or were those just mistakes perhaps?) and then when Xetic does the same "mistake" it is omfg this is WAR!!!!!!!!!!

This is gettin far too messy. The fact of the matter is, the 'coalition' or wotever its name is (will someone get to work on that?) is now at war with Xetic. It was probably going to happen at somepoint because the two groups of people have different ideals and different goals within the game.
To be perfectly frank, I couldn't care a pair of fetid dingo's kidneys who started it, as long as everyone realises IT WAS GOING TO START REGARDLESS!!!
The ins and outs of how this little skirmish began do not matter.
The ins and outs of who is left alive at the end however, may be of a little more significance.
Personally I would just like to shoot stuff, and since i have spent most of my eve career shooting Xetic i see no reason to change tack now.

lets face it, were playing a game, a game where alliances play a role, where politics play a role, all that stuff..
now we have 2 powers which are not liking each other. but they have a nap. then one power breaks the nap and *poof* we have a casus belli. then the war starts.
thing is, its not important that one power wanted to attack anyway. its just important that the other power broke the nap. its like breaking the protocol. bad style, or whatever u might wanna call it.

In Eve as in real life , aggressions will happen for whatever reason especially in high traffic areas.
If the leaders of one power want war then they will use that aggression as an excuse to attack.
If they dont want war they will use it as negotiation leverage.
I just cant see the Shinra and friends alliance sitting around mining when they heard about the hauler incident ;More like sitting around wishing they had some more targets.
To pretend they are not 95% pvp'ers is a little lame.
Why is it that all the pvp corps that declare war need a lame excuse ? Why not just be like Mo0 and say we felt like it now take off.
Maybe its to keep your "honorable" members happy by providing a good "reason".
Or to keep your own (snicker/cough) conscience happy.
Whatever the reason I have seen the same orchestrated exagerated krapola prior to each war declaration by the pvp corps in this game .
Wouldnt it be nice to see all the other pvp'ers in Eve come to the south and help Xetic crush the smile off their
innocent little faces.

The fact is that most of xetic didn't want this war and most of xetic didn't cause it. One person fired on a hauler and when restitution was offered it was declined from what I understand. Be a ******* man yourself and admt the truth. The moment you guys moved into curse there was going to be fight. If you didn't have an excuse you would have made one up.
