Jericho Fraction is looking to hire charismatic PvPers to sharpen the leading edge of our forces. So, here you go:
Introduction to Jericho Fraction Jericho Fraction is a corporation rich in history, dedicated to the cause of post-national cultural freedom. It is our strong belief that recent advances in technology is heralding a new step in human cultural evolution. Technologies such as cloning and capsule piloting offer those that would take the chance virtual immortality, financial independence and physical freedom to travel and prosper wherever they choose. But this is a cause and philosophy that has often been misunderstood, and has earned us a lot of enmity from those that would see ambitious capsuleers chained by hierarchical governments and protectionist mineral cartels. Rightly so! We are a threat to them, since we believe that they are destined to be a thing of the past as the able reclaim their freedom, their right to harvest the infinite wealths of space, their right as individuals to go where they please.
Introduction to the Star Fraction Jericho is the executor corporation of the alliance of corporations and their owner-captains known as the Star Fraction. The alliance is an umbrella organisation created to facilitate cooperation between those that find our cause just, dedicated to leading the policies of free-space by example. Within it's ranks are pilots and corporations with backgrounds in all walks of life, all cultures and all empires, all intent to walk the thorny path to prove that change is not only possible, it is the right way forward for all of mankind.
Jericho's Recruitment Policies We are always looking to boost our employment roster with charismatic talents. Listed below is a summary of our policies. These are Out-of-character, and please quote and give your thoughts on each when you post on our Membership Inquiries forum.
1 - Candidates must be more than 18 years old.
2 - Candidates should be aware of our corporate reputation and history in wars and conflicts and political intervention. (If you are not, but think the introductions above seem interesting, feel free to eve-mail or convo me to get a more detailed introduction.)
3 - They must appreciate our corporate allegiances and should be familiar and comfortable with our in-game allies and enemies before applying. (See the parenthesis on item number two.)
4 - They must be comfortable with roleplay and in-character interaction. This is extremely important - you don't have to be an active roleplayer to be eligible, but you need to understand that Jericho Fraction is a roleplay intensive organisation and you must be able to understand and be comfortable with the difference between In Character[/] (IC) and [i]Out Of Charachter (OOC) interaction.
5 - They must be broad minded and have a ôlive and let liveö approach to personal preference and in and out of game sexuality.
6 - They must be well spoken and able to conduct a civilised conversation in chat, in voice comms, and be able to represent themselves well on the forums.
7 - They must be prepared to act as an ambassador and representative of Jericho Fraction on occasion and be fully aware that individual actions will reflect on our group identity. (No, we will not force you to do our diplomacy for us, but understand that what you do and say under our banner has an effect on everyone else in the corporation.)
8 - They must be prepared to fight. Previous experience is not necessary (we can teach you) but there must be a willingness to fight for our ideals and risk the destruction of your ships and pods in violent contest. Candidates must have at least the ability to listen to Teamspeak to function as part of a combat gang in active service. If you really don't like the idea of risking the loss of your ship and capsule then you will need to find a different corporation to join. Do not expect to lead a carefree existence in Jericho, we have a lot of enemies, and like it that way. It proves that we're on to something, after all. ;)

9 - They must know how to make money. We arenÆt going to hold anyoneÆs hand and spoon-feed them equipment. Though Jericho Fraction can provide common combat supplies, frigates and cruisers and such, and while we certainly will help out those members that show will, we are not interested in freeloaders who canÆt be bothered to work for their own ISK. Note: Jericho Fraction's tech2 ship BPO's are held by a couple of rl friends of Jade's and will never, under any circumstances, appear in the shared corporation hangers. The game systems are just not robust enough to protect large investments against potential theft and sabotage. (Tough luck, Istvaan. ;)
10 - They must play regularly. A few times a week is enough, but Jericho Fraction routinely purges our member list of inactive players and so there is no point joining and not playing for extended periods. We have an active internal forum community and voice chat and there is ample opportunity to get to know everyone and become an important part of the corporation.
And here are some things to avoid.
1 - Candidates must not have a history of corporate theft, operating in-game scams (escrow misuse), or aberrant market pricing for the purpose of defrauding victims.
2 - They must not utilise any questionable exploit or borderline cheating for the purpose of ôwinningö in game.
3 - They must not be dogmatic and resolved against any particular in-game career. We donÆt approve of hardcore carebears who want PvP combat nerfed, and neither do we encourage hardcore fighters that want Eve turned into a giant combat simulator with no room for pacifist players. (Remember, diversity is what makes EVE what it is.)
4 - No silly or abusive character names.
5 - No starter corporation members or characters with less than 2m skill points without a full and convincing personal reference (generally trusted RL friends only).
6 - No reactionary empire builders! CanÆt stress this enough. Jericho Fraction is not going to change into a gate-camp-guarding closed border alliance. If that is the kind of thing you want to do you need to find another corporation.
7 - No sulkers! Sometimes internal democracy will mean that Jericho Fraction decides to do something that you donÆt like. The options are: deal with it as a natural consequence as a democratic process, or leave with our blessing.
8 - No people lacking in guts and courage! Jericho Fraction always ends up fighting against the big snarling dogs in the game environment. Lots of threats are made against us promising ôfiscal annihilationö and ôutter devastationö. While most of these are just stuff and nonsense, they are loud and clamorous and if such things scare you then you probably need a safer and more unassuming corporation.

Edited by: Tatsue Nuko on 07/04/2005 02:23:01 So why join Jericho Fraction in the first place, what are the advantages? Well, aside from our entertaining corp chat...
1 - A fresh political agenda to change the face of Eve via player-led politics.
2 - An appreciation of EveÆs roleplayed background and respect for the subject matter.
3 - A great set of in-game political and military allies for combined fleet actions and engagement. We have some of the best skirmish warfare and guerilla fighters in space! (And remember, we won't make you sit and camp, that's something that bores us more than mining...)
4 - A superb cast list of existing characters with a lot of experience and knowledge of the game. We can teach you to be independent, capable and influential. (and if you listen to Atandros: filthy stinking rich).
5 - Forums, teamspeak, artistic and literary support and internal sig design. A fun and creative environment where nobody is going to snarl "STFU noob" if you have an off-the-wall idea.
6 - Access to all the good interceptors, assault frigs and assault cruisers at internal component build cost, our pilots benefit from cheap rides and economical combat replacement.
7 - Access to many battleship BPC 1-runs that can be traded to acquire the battleship blueprint of choice for economic self build.
8 - Around 100 corporations set to -10 (Kill on sight) status in 0.0 that may be freely and justifiably engaged. Plenty of targets to kill! \o/
9 - A budding in-empire RP program emphasizing intrigue, diplomacy and combat, providing an alternative to 0.0 space activities. (We will as part of StarFraction be ensuring continuing combat options against roleplay objective corps and alliances to further our agenda and the entertainment of our members.)
10 - The force of history is on our side!
So, if this is the kind of thing you would be interested in please register your interest on the Jericho Fraction Membership Inquiries Give us as much detail and feel for your character as you can, and if itÆs a resume that proves interesting to us then one of our personnel directors will be in touch to arrange a formal interview.
Note: Sometimes our directors and personnel people are busy and engaged with the business of wars and revolutions. If you really want to join Jericho you might have to do a bit of hustling! Convo to arrange interviews, come and meet us in La maison de tous les plaisirs channel. Post an in-character message in the official forum's IG summit! Get our attention, intrigue us, and it'll happen. If we don't immediately get back to you it doesn't mean we hate you! Just means we play the game too and are sometimes quite distracted with things a-going on.

In closing I'll quote Atandros: BLOOD PODS AND LOOT! ;)

Yarrr.
On that note, we're currently busy butchering, podding and looting CVA, so there's even a lot of charlies in empire (the inundation of red squares we usually see in most of 0.0 notwithstanding). Targets for all!

Lol, I think our fighting capability suffers from occassional bouts of boredom with camping and stuff. But seems okay at the moment we keep blowing up enemy battleships somehow :)
Thx for the words though Lucian see you in la maison sometime.
