Hello all!
I am coming to you, the eve community to see what your thoughts would be on this plan. The plan is to hold Inty fights in a .0 location tbd the day of the fight. For those of you who hold a lack of trust you may remember me as DJ Splash from eve-radio where i hosted countless frig battle royals. This will be held under the eve-kills name as a long standing memorial to Smoske( waiting on word from moby first of course).
I will make zero profit off of this. I just believe it is a good way of bringing people from all sides of the galaxy together to have a good time.
I will be looking to meet with the heads of all of the alliances to work on safe locations and travel for the contestants. If you know who i should speak to in your local area please let me know. I will put together a security fleet for the occasions to ensure the safty of the contestants. I do not care with which what flag you fly. During this everyone is neutral. Anyone starting a mess will be destroyed.
Now for the rules: (subject to change)
1) this will work in 2 man teams facing off till one of the teams ships are destroyed( if you can not afford to lose a ship, Do not enter as we will not replace any loses). will be a ladder type system.
2) This is for interceptors only. NO OTHER SHIPS WILL BE ALLOWED IN OR NEAR THE FIGHTS.( If you want to spectate u may do so from the comfort of your pod. Any ship found near the location will be destroyed).
3) There is no rules what so ever on ship set-up. EW, MWD, and Tech 2 items are allowed. just beware you may lose them.
4) NO WARPING OFF. If you warp off you are disqualified from that event and every other event.
5) Winners of each round keep the losers loot.
* NO POD KILLS *
Prizes will be based on what corporate sponsers i can find as well as furnished by myself. so in other words to be determined. If you would like to be a sponser for these events contact me in game or leave a message here.
So this will all be based on public feed back. if it looks like we will have enough participants and public support you can expect this to start in 2 weeks.

For the first event FREEE will give an HAC of the winners choice. This is of course if this thing gets going and people do show up. Also if possible I will run protection and be the ref for the fights, making sure everything runs smooth. Would really like to see people get behind this. Also if its really popular we may do a 5 mil isk buy in and winner takes all. For the moment we will only be doing prizes.

Yes I remember those frig battle royal's and they where lots of fun. However if I remember correctly ebil party crashers were a problem. We did have a volunteer defense fleet but, if this is to be held in .0, and depending on the location within .0, the blobage would attract all the local trouble makers (every alliance has their own local trouble makers to deal with) to come in and get some serious gankage, protection fleet or no. Don't get me wrong this is a great idea but the fesability might be an issue.

Well if you are talking bout the one incident we had around ec-p8r we did lose 1 pod to a bnc camp. My security force also pushed bnc out of the area and it placed my corp dukes of hazard on the northern KOS list . i am quite certain that all alliances in the areas of question will be participating and also respect the event. That being said tho, life is full of uncertanties. Those who are not willing to risk it will never reap any reward.
This is not for the faint of heart, nor is it for the poor. Odds are you will lose your ship during the battle. This isnt for every one.
As for when will it be?
I am planning for saturday the 24th for the prelims and finals will be held on sunday the 25th. so get your wingman ready and lets have some fun.
This will be a monthly event.

i am looking to contact ccp for more info on possible security and locations. so if i could get someone from ccp to respond that would be great.
ship choice will be up to u and yes u may swap out after a battle if u move on. now this will be dependant on location and time.

I was thinking of something like this. But it would have to be 1v1's. Also, there will be no need for warp disruptors, which makes it sort of unrealistic. I really want to organize such an event but the logistics would be pretty near impossible.

Sounds good, got one question, and one suggestion:
1) Do each of the winning participants recieve a HAC - sharing one ship between two pilots doesn't sound enticing.
2) If your worried about protection, convince someone like the mercenary coalition to cover you for the day/evening. If they do it for free, then they get good press and advertising.

Do u mean Staruday 23th and sunday 24th of april?
Its a shame ill be in London that date or i would have participated. But i hope it will be a succes so u can hold it monthly.

FREEE will be providing one HAC. If another corporate sponser could provide another then both pilots on that team will receive the HAC. If we do not get any other sponsers then the prizes will be distrubted as ripp tyde said before.
