I recently got this account back after not playing for 4 years. I've got a Hurricane, but I have no idea where I'm meant to go for missions, what i'm meant to be doing etc..
Any kind of advice would be great, coz atm i find it difficult to login, with no actual knowledge of what im doing.. |

Make a new character and go and run all the tutorials again before coming back to this character, give yourself a refresher course.
Besides that you don't HAVE to do anything, it's a sandbox game. You can sell your hurricane and go mine with a rookie ship for all we care, it up to you.
Try looking at this once you're back on your feet: http://swiftandbitter.com/eve/wtd/ The Drake is a Lie |

EVE is about having fun. So the purpose of EVE is whatever each individual player enjoys doing. And possibly grinding to become able to do that.

I think a good way to start is research. Once you have an idea of whats out there create a plan. Plan your training, what ships you want to fly, what you want to be involved in, etc. Then start working towards that. It's a sandbox game so do whatever you want. I find it fun to come up with experiments and then try them out. Trial and error is a great way to learn eve. Make a bunch of pvp ships and go get blown up. Or come up with a wormholing formula and go try it out. Or go ninja salvaging. Try manufacturing. Try flying around lowsec and nullsec in a pvp frigate with a salvager and salvage some player wrecks. Try suicide ganking. Most importantly; join a corp! Have fun! https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=169738 |
