I beg to differ, reroll.
If you ever want to get into a large barge then you need Perc as a main skill for training the large barge.
It will take FOREVER with low perception. And yours is LOW. You wont see a battleship until it nudges you
As a piece of advice, on character creation select "custom" and at each step of the process you can choose a path. Linked to that path are skills. With this its possible to get frig 4 or mining 4 straight away for example.
On top of this you can assign points to your attributes. Perc/Int are the most important. I would suggest weighting towards these.
Perc for gunnery/ship and int for other skills, decide where you want the most points. Secondary importance is mem/willpower. Charisma is the lost child of attrbutes.

Originally by: H0ot With learning skills and a +3 implant you're looking at 15-16 Perception. To be honest there is little to no reason to go any higher than that *JUST* so you can train a single skill (mining barges) slightly faster.
And restarting means you lose out on what you've already trained.
Im sorry but I strongly disagree. 16 perception with level 5 advanced skill and an implant is terrible. Its also a rank 3 skill so will take FOREVER just to train from level 4 to 5 advanced.
Reroll. It will hurt you now but pay off in the long run.
Finally, to re-iterate - PERC is key for all ship AND gunnery skills.
Good luck, whatever you do

Why the hell do you ask for advice and once you have it, ignore it?
Theres 10 things you did wrong with that but damned if I'm going to waste more time on you.

Originally by: Bijuaru Edited by: Bijuaru on 13/04/2005 01:36:21 I took advice into consideration and decided I would make my character more balanced. I was not ordered to do anything, hence why I can make my own decisions. I appreciate the help.
EDIT: I took the advice of keeping my current character and not getting rid of him, for I may use him in other endeavors later on and he's almost at the point where I can mine quite efficiently and I can bring in cash for my new balanced character. I saw the feedback from this very post about the attributes attained and realized I would rather make this NEW character more balanced.
I am sorry if I offended you but I do greatly appreciate you taking the time to assist me. I thought long and hard, read other forums and did my own calculations for a full day atleast. Again I apologize for any offense you have taken from my actions. Thanks again.
Apologies, im a bit tetchy
Still having perc and int higher than mem/willpower is a winning formula
