As far as i can tell, structures rarely if ever drop anything.
That doesnŠt stop me from trying though, never know if they drop something good

Basically there are two types of structures in deadspace: "Large collidable structure" and "Deadspace Overseer Structure".
"Deadspace Overseer Structure" always drop loot, and usually there is some good or rare stuff among it. "Large collidable structure" rarely drop loot, and are usually not worth the ammo spent to splode them.
You can check which is which by right-clicking it and checking the menu options, and you can even configure your overview to show only the overseer structures.
Examples for overseer structures in level 3 missions:
"Pleasure Hub" (Silence the Informant, 3rd stage) "Prison" (Damsel in Distress) "Radiating Telescope" (Seek and Destroy) "Angel Storage Silo" (Angel Extravaganza, 5th stage)

I dont know if this is totally true. In the 4th level of guristas extravaganza there are some buildings in the large coral formation and I seem to recall that these are large collidable objects and not overseer structures. I might be wrong though Seriously Have I Not Said How I Can Assist Some One You Are Killing Online? |

I can't guarantee that it's 100% correct either, of course. It's just what I gathered from my own mission running. Always eager to learn something new if you have additional info.

Alot of structures drop loot just most of it is completely crap (100 torps wooo \o/). I miss early EXODUS where it was worth it to shoot most structures. --------------------------------------------------

Ive also noted that cargo platforms and storage facilities will drop items more often then not. not sure on the percentages though

Cargo platforms will allways drop ammo. Storage silos usually also drop ammo.
War instalation drops stuff but it takes long to kill it. Sometimes bunkers drop stuff.
I think that if you kill something with the least extra damage you will be able to get something out of it.
atleast I tried testing this and when I killed something with drones it would give me "more" stuff than when I did not kill it with drones. I can not be sure on this but it might be so. Seriously Have I Not Said How I Can Assist Some One You Are Killing Online? |

Edited by: Epais Tete on 11/04/2005 21:44:11 I have found that housing structors contain loot; also things people are in, like bodellos [damsel in distress].

The "Storage Silos" tend to drop stuff.
Either the "good" mission kit or some ammo.

Add to the list of structures that drop loot: Bunker, Casino and, sometimes, POS components (in for instance, Guristas 'vaganza), i.e Moon Harvester etc...
