Edited by: Epofhis on 11/04/2005 21:21:30 Mine happens to be the 2nd xJQA battle, was a sight to behold, almost 8 hours of continous fighting (I was there for no less than 4 hours)... I had nvr seen such.. bravery. EDIT> more stuff... I can rem, jumping in and out, getting repped, and doing the tackling stuff in my incur, darting in and out of missles, that 1st incur actually lasted like at least an hour.. Then got my raven (yes i know) and hardly got on any kill mails LOL, damn Wiz, but boy did I dampin to hell, and when JQA warped in close to the gate, I gots me a Mega , boy that was god fun
My 2nd happens to be when jqa was left of mostly frigs and we found there SS, due to excellent leadership, I was very proud that day, lots of good laughs 0.o
anyhoo, have at it, i was feeling all nostalgic like
EDIT> My first "fleet" battle was a bit ago, and went like going in through Dital to 0.0 and gave order to jump (had a small fleet of cruisers/frigs) and next thing i know uncloak, TS goes to sheet, theres a rax, and a Temp there, and they wtfpwn us in like 5 secs, but failed to get my pod, as I crawled back to the gate at like 186ms got hit once and down to like 1/4 armor, from then on, i was hooked into pvp
there are you happy now, my sig fits every rule. Now, no delete me pls, I promise to be good!!!11010101!! |

I remember my last Battle vs "old" CA in HLW. Was the last Fleet battle we fought Stain vs CA. Both sides fought a honoured and glory combat. Last CA outnumbered us easy and the fight goes over 1 hour. Both side loosed many ships. We loosed near 10-15 BS and "old" CA near ~30 BS (long time ago -> i need the old forum posts to get all infos back).
Was a nice time.....

Best fleet battles i've ever had were vs xJQA That was an alliance that fought for what they believed in, you very rarely see an alliance fight for what they believe anymore. If you ever do see it nowadays your extremely lucky.

Oh yeah, I remember that on in VV-V. That was hellofa funny. Props to Osric (the primary finder) and Stocker, our two invisible scouts that night. ALso to Loka for the actual idea in the first place as well as acting as bait that night alongside Fang (if I remember correctly) as the FC.
I think my favourite short battle so far in BDCI has to be the close range 15km "oh thats not good" from the FOE vid. Great fun in a short amount of time and a really intense shoot 'em up. Especially so for anti-tackler assault frig who hadn't expected to do much at 60km!

Sadly, I managed to miss all the big VV battles. Even though I was on vacation, I only ever managed to play when there weren't many xCA around, so the fights I got at the time were mostly hunts (with us outnumbering the enemy too greatly to allow for fun battles). And then my vacation was over, which resulted in me missing the whole end game.
My favorite battles have all been smaller skirmishes, of sizes about 4-8 pilots per side. I do remember having a lot of fun when JQA was invaded by a coalition from the north (can't remember exactly who was involved...some NORAD, Kr0m and at least one other entity...). ------------------------------------------- "My main griveance with the Caldari state was that once I had finished my work for them, they wanted me dead."

Edited by: Hastrabull on 11/04/2005 21:51:40 Second vv-v battle with xJQA :) My first 'jump in' finished in cloning station :) lag eat me (and my new shiny geddon brought from HLW :D) Then i picked up vigil from corp hangar and started tackling :) I lost... i think 3 or 4 vigils.
Next thing i remember was slaughtering JQA frig fleets with apoc with 8 smartbombs. (I think i was the first one to use this tactic but everyone remembers loka in his smartbombing ferox :)) On the other hand i must admit, attacking lonely apoc with 20 frigs when whole Supremacy fleet is on the other side of the system is amazing and very brave. You JQA guys really have balls :)
My first battle was very long time ago in CA. I was like a week in alliance, and had my tristan (Yes Tristan! :)) We jumped like 200km from stain fleet. One of ours started moving towards enemy fleet (dual mwd 4tw). Then we warped very close and i started my first tackling ever :D it was DAMN fun :) (and so many explosions very close to me :D) Amazing it is but i survived :D
Btw, my i-net connection is still fecked up and i cant connect to the game :( i'm starting to miss eve :( ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

First ever fleet battle I was involved in:
CoW (as was) and FSA
I think it was in gomati or somewhere near there. FSA was very young at that time and when CoW declared war, no one knew what to expect. CoW proceeded to show us. it hurt.
FINALLY we started to get our act together and put together a fleet of about 20 frigs or so then spent an hour playing cat and mouse with them until finally they stayed at the gate where we jumped into system.
The actual fight when we decloaked and engaged was: 1) Bloody quick 2) Confusing 3) Highly enjoyable cos we won it.
They took down a few of ours, but in the end we were too many. Some CoW pods got out, some didnt. Damn good fight.
The best part about it was the fact that FSA pilots learned alot from CoW. Pity we had to learn the hard way, but thats the nature of the beast where EvE is concerned.
The other nice thing about the war with CoW was that it remained smacktalk free for the most part. They get a gold star from me for that. I still have one hell of alot to learn about PvP (mental note: Frigates DO NOT TANK against battleships) CoW showed me that EvE wars can be enjoyable.

I fought many great battles, mostly vs CA in HLW and U-Q/HED area.
The best i think for me was against ATUK in E8 (Immensia) They came with like 18 bs we had the same ammount. Battle was about 90km from eachother, me the jammer 180km from their fleet. The battles lasted for about 2 hours till ATUK ran out of ammo and we got some reinforcements with ammo. My first victory as fleet commander in Xetic. Was the last battle against ATUK if i remember after that we got a cease fire. Fun is back again now __________ HC MasiEEE

The battle that stands out the most was in B-VIP at the Edbinger gate.
10-7 fight
Out of their 10, we killed 7 of them, (1phoon jmuped as he came in and 2frigs escaped) think we got 5bs's and 2crusiers.
We lost...... some heavy drones.
Was great fun, ECM warping in at 60, doin their thing, while olyyy jmuped in as bait in his raven, and i warped in at 15k in my ganka :)
I can just remember my whole screen flashing red and my armor vanishing. i shouted for some jamming support and suddenly all the red stopped
Battle finished with a resounding Victory and me on fire

Edited by: Br0dY on 11/04/2005 22:35:14 I allways liked the battles in the CA. Best fights we had were against SA and BoB. What was so great about them was the fact that both groups were skilled and had great commanders so the battles were allways pretty close and exciting. Will never forget the clashes on the gates to u-q and vol.
EDIT: Another great battle happened last summer up in NORAD space if I recall correctly. We had an inferior force and were camped in at the gate. I think the odds were 2:1 against us and we ended up warping to the gate we wanted to go thru and made the enemy run from there... was the first time I saw how good pilots CA has... ------------------------------------------------

My favorite battle was one of the first of the GNW up in BKG. 15-16 of BNC/RKK/FU/CoD vs. 13-14 PA, equal BS numbers, 11 PA BS were downed in like 2-3 mins and all we lost were a couple frigs. Man, for my first major fleet battle...sure was a doozy. -----------------------------------------------

Maybe its stupid idea, but its u to decide.
Maybe someone would like to write down biggest, most exciting battles that ever happened in Eve universe?
I know only 3 really big battles 1. battles for vv-v (odds were like 150 JQA against 80 us (i think) 2. battle against BOB in CA (odds were like 80 of us against one bob and one stain fleet. it was about october last year maybe) 3. 100 CA against 100 Stainers in HLW (about november last year)
Lets write down history of wars in EVE :) ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

My favorite was one of the fights in VV-VCR where we had a hugely outnumbered force facing jumping into a force 2:1 our size or more. Their force was split into two groups on either side of the gate with 3 or 4 mobile warp disruptors that we would also come out in. I remember teamspeak people were like "cmon are we gonna fight or what?" Then some rona-kia guy said "I wanna have some fun, we can always buy more ships" I am pretty sure most of us were thinking we would lose the battle or if nothing else take heavy losses, but we didnt. It was just all around fun for like 3 hours or more.

C4C-Z4/L-C307 a day of fighting with 2 large battles during the RSA war, my first ever large fleet battle commanding. BNC/RKK/Celes/Huff vs RSA/CoD/FE.
Some of the BoB vs FE & Friends fights in P3EN were pretty good fun as well. Outnumbered on battleships and still just charging the FE fleet to get into range was a blast.
Too many others to mention against so many opponents but you really can't beat the excitement of a large fleet battle.

My favorite battle occured on Friday - 5 February.
SE was attacking FiX in blobs every day, and BoB had arrived on the scene, to put pressure on FA in Delve.
We moved a force from 9CG to empire to try to bring down some guys that had new ships, and we ended up getting sandwhiched between BoB and SE somewhere in the pipe.
SE bypassed us and went to terrorize 9CG and H74, and BoB set up camp in K7D at the empire facing gate. We jump in on them and chaos ensues, with both sides taking heavy losses. My megathron got out with structure after multiple warp-outs.
This battle was pretty sweet because we spent hours and hours under very strict discipline, maneuvered all over the place surrounded by the badguys, and then at the end went in guns blazing.
Props to SE and BoB.

I still stick to my word I will nevah let the lag fest battle of VV-VCR be known as my favourite battles. That was cool, I went through like 2 vigils and 1 rifter, we were putting whatever on our ships, no guns but yes warp scramblers and we had to switch to power diags cause we ran out of cap relays, we also ran out of vigils that's why I was using a rifter, I think we had 3 or 4 corp members going back to GRNJ to get more ships during that battle.
I also had great fun in my first ever combat experience, I was playing my original character JackDonkey and i was pharming a cache container at planet 1 or 2 or 3 in Jan and some mercenary frigs warped in, and they warped right back out, so I warped out to drop a load of loot and warped right back, sure enough they came back and I figured out how ECM works the bad way, but I surprised them with my 3 smartbombs that i was using for missile defense, they got out of range and easily finished me off in about 40 seconds time, was fun.
Another notable one for me was the first big fleet battle I was in, I was in Revolution and an assload of everlasting vendetta came up through on their way to PA space, I hopped in my scorp along with the rest of Revolution at the time and we went up there, jumped in to what we thought was a clear jump in, yellow was everywhere, I had to warp away because I was one of the first to jump in (which I always am, and I'm proud of it), it was amazing I managed to warp away, but then the order came through for the rest of EV and crew to jump in so I was able to immediatly warp back to battle. Fun was had for a long time, mainly because I had 4x 425's on my scorp which I loved and is no longer a viable setup , we had to warp aaway but didn't stay at safe very long when we warped back it looked to me like the PA was finishing up picking up all the good loot out of cans, and it looked to me like there were more yellow cans than blue, but in all honesty I don't think I'll ever know who "won" that battle, but it was my first big battle.
An honerable mention was when I was in a fleet composed of Sloth, myself and RKK fighting PA, was fun til I lost my scorp in a very stupid fashion. None of the battles I was in with CA really stand out unfortunatly.
Nil8 in a rupture and me in a vigil managed to take on 2 battleships (in npc config) and actually blow one of them up, that was an ego boost for sure.
But the best battles ever I had the whole time I was in EVE was when myself Pacifica, remo Williams, Aerick Dawn, Lord Kronos, Golia, Nocturn would take on the Romanian Renegades on pretty much a nightly basis up in tribute region, Haos, Extayza, Gusty, Lenutza, Sarsa?, and some others that was the most fun I ever had in EVE. One time Remo and I met 2 of them going towards empire as we were going to 0.0 and I'm pretty sure we tried to warn them of the big camp in P3 as we had so much fun and respect for them that we didn't want to see them get ganked. Which was very strange since almost all of the fights we had were like half hour to an hour engagements not always in one place, but as soon as one of our groups safespotted the local just lit up with smacktalk from both sides, probably mostly from us though lol. but regardless of all the smack, those people were my favorite enemies.

It's kinda hard for me to name a "favourite" battle in the traditional sense.
The two VV-VCR battles between JQA/3FA/allies vs SUPRM/ex-CA/allies to me easily stand out as the largest and most significant pieces of Eve history I've ever been involved with to date. Dunno that they'd be my favourites though, as the lag made things pretty unplayable at the best of times for everyone on both sides.
But yes, I somehow survived both fights.
In terms of personal satisfaction, nothing has tasted sweeter for me than the involvement in the destruction of Lifewire's scorpion in FD-MLJ, a long-awaited act of partial revenge for his involvement in the podding of the original Ben Derindar several months earlier.
The engagement that led to the kill though doesn't strike me as being a favourite though, either. Hmmm...
Probably the most enjoyable entire evening of Eve time I've had was recently, during a visit by BL1ND to the Obe area. It was my first time flying a frig in what felt like ages - I didn't realise how much I'd missed zipping around in something smaller. We nailed a few kills and suffered no losses, though my poor kessie was taken to structure at one stage.
That was just a good all-round evening of fun where everything seemed to click, but there weren't any major engagements to speak of, so that doesn't quite satisfy the criteria either....
Lemme think about it a bit more and I'll get back to you...

Bah, my favorite battle. I have so many....
Well the first one that springs to mind are the vv-v fights. These were absolutly awesome and especially the 2nd fight. Simply becus every1 knew the 2nd night that there was gonna be a fight. JQA and 3FA gathered up forces early while Supremacy and allies gathered next door. Even Nebulai from the insterstellar reporters came to have a look. And sat high above the fight in his untouchable frig whatching the fight as it unfolded. Yes there was lag, but every1 had it. And the lag decreased as time went along. But nothing can compare to a 4 hours lasting fleet fight. With the immense amount of ships that were present there. I think it prolly was somewhere around 250. A fight i think can't be equaled anytime soon.

Favorite battle was against BOB while in Fade. We spent the better part of an hour positioning ourselves. Till we get the order to move, and we have a covert ops get right near the BoB fleet that is 100km off the gate. we then proceed to jump in and warp right next to them. Needless to say, we won that fight. But it was friggin awesome!

Edited by: WildHope on 12/04/2005 08:57:42 It seems stupid, but I remember the battles where our fleets been completely decimated a lot better than the ones where we've annihilted our opponents. The two most prominent being:
1) A CA fleet jumps in on a m0o (+Evolution??- can't remember) fleet in E02, they probably had ~20bs, we had a couple more. After a long initial engagement m0o forces retreated to a safespot. The CA fleet then warped to a station - having concluded that fighting was over for the day, our ships were spread out over 40km and we were generally a bit bedraggled. At this point the hostile fleet jumps back in (probably even more outnumbered now), and caught us completely unawares. I don't know how many ships we lost but it was a slaughter.
2)CA and SA had been squaring off in OSHT-A and U-Q, when the SA commander decides to pull his fleet back towards DSS. CA give chase and eventually SA engage a couple of jumps out of DSS (I'm not sure if they'd received reinforcements - have to ask one of them). Our fleet commander was having a very off day, and we were quashed.
Both far from being my favourite battles , but although there may have been other engagements we've lost, these are the only two where I came away thinking we'd been thrashed. Perhaps they stand out simply because they're rare

The best battle I've ever been part of has got to be the big 6nj fight. BoB vs PA 1 hour non stop ripping the living crap out of each other. Took a rifter through the whole thing I was soo surprised that I survived. Kept having to run away from interceptors though and finished on about 50% structure but I lived.

The biggest fights however have to be some of the early ones against NSA. Never seen an alliance rally like that. Still got the snot kicked out of them which was a shame really we actually liked the NSA.

Well my favorite battle was when OC came up to Dek and Fade during the GNW. LOD,BNC,VNTR,EXO vs. OC in dual MWD and Armor tanked ravens. Was alot of fun.
The main engagment i remember from the entire war was in x-70 of all places about 25 NCA guys went to meet up with about 7 JF locked down in the station and we engaged a 19 man PA fleet. Was my first REAL fight in a fleet! ( eventhough I lost my BB)

1. I would say the FA fleet vs Moo in Feb '04 in YZ.
2. When 50 ATUK jumped into a FA Fleet of 130 with drones out in 75F with 4 warp bubbles. We only lost around 10-12 ships and managed to regroup. Then we proceeded to destroy the bubbles and pick off the FA Fleet. It was a good 2 hours of fun. I think that was around Jan '05?
3. Xanadu Ops in Cache against Rus Summer '04.

Favorite battles:
1)UFS fleet vs Orion Federation
We were camping the PA gate in GQ-5 when something like a agent mission happened... multi-wave Orion attack... props for them for trying, but was real funny
2) UFS fleet vs PBL
Camping the PA gate in GQ-5 again... The PBL fleet jumped into system, with a couple hostiles from inside the sys warping to the gate... Real sweet battle... props 2 every1 :D

Celest/R-K vs FE in EC-P8R sticks out, that battle was teh sex, sith most peeps running out of missiles. That prob sticks out most as that was the battle that really shaped the corp :)
All the PA vs BoB battles sucked, smack talk just made any experience there a total drag for me. Any enjoyment there was very quickly destroyed with all the crap that followed it.
The VV battles I think were excellent. The first night was almost purely SUPR/R-K/Armored assasins, then the second night VOTF etc came and joined in :). Flying under Thol was always a pleasure, and much less of a headache than the KIA organised chaos method

Oh...this is hard. But it really shouldnt be. I have a nasty habit of missing this things. BUT... The Contract on FoE was by far the most fun I've had in EVE. No smack, furious fights, scouting, sneaking, ambushing and of course two nights stand out:
1. Saturday something, I come home, slightly toasted around 0200 hrs I get on TS and I *think* I'm the only NSN online atm. I get into joint ops where I hear that Xetic is mobilizing a huge force to head down to Obe and possibly into 0.0.
The order is to get into big bad ass ships and in my state I never hessitated to go by myself towards or meeting point (again, im truly sorry if i got this way wrong). Anyway, we meet up and we start moving towards Obe. Little restistance is met, we score a few kills in Obe. Then someone brings up the map and...WOW what the hell is that big red shiny thing in MSHD? One fleet? Two slugging it out? We get...arroused and a little nervous thinking "-are they coming for us?!". But nothing seem to be moving and there is no "kills in the last hour" so we take it as it's FoE holding one big mining party but just to be sure we start sending scouts towards the blob. Xetic is joining in and right about then we realize that JEES! ITS A BIG ASS SHOW DOWN! WE MUST GO!
Turns out it was a fleet from Deklein/Fade stirring up trouble and as we move up we begin to see ppl coming back in pods and the Adrenalin knob is turned to lvl-3. We kill some stuff on the way and we are kept company by FoE-ceptor scouts. Xetic goes full force and jumps into MSHD and we follow right after. After what seems like an eternity the screen loads and the knob is turned past lvl-5!
The rest is history, and the zoomed out show can be seen in my movie, there is A LOT of BIG red squares that does not like us on the other side... I was called within seconds and had to get out. Second time for good, made it ok but the force was waaay to strong. Was a fun fun fun night after that, loads of kills and other fun stuff but props to FoE that pretty much kicked our ass (only one lost bs i think but we didnt do much more damage to them either) but Xetic I believe took heavy damage but still agreed that it was fun.
2. The 15km warp-in at the last big battle of the FoE contract. Not the biggest in terms of ships present but BY GOD wasnt it the best of rushes! Seeing that gate appear waaay to close and finding my self stunned searching for the targets that where supposed to be 40-60km away only to find that they are ALL at 14-17km! Anyway, massive exchange of heavy weapons with equal damage in what I think was the best fight both sides had, Marichek has mentioned is frenetiq screaming on TS to get his tacklers to attack something while we all where in OMGTHISISNOTRIGHT-mode!
3. Well, was a lot of fun in Venal area as well, but the lag was about to make me quit EVE actually cause I was so sick of not being able to have this epic (fairly) smooth fights.
Cheers to all that I've ever stood beside, infront or behind so far! See you on a future battlefield!

Best one for me:
CA ghost fleet of 4 BS + various support craft, led by none other than EternalDark, executing an utter massacre in T-PAR. Anyone that was part of that will never forget it. Hooray for double-mic, dive-bombing ravens and a tank-buster megathron.

Its not exactly a battle but this was a great hunt with a doubly satisfying end.
One of our employees turned out to be a corp thief and he stole 3.6million credits through buying escrow. Our ceo, Salo rather foolishly had given the guy the trader role! Annoyed by his error Salo ordered everyone to Umokka as he was last detected there. The thief TB0NE, felt it amusing to boast, gloat and otherwise be offensive as we coordinated ourselves in a private channel. Eventually we persuaded him to meet us in an asteroid belt. Unfortunately due to the varying speed of our ships only Salo and Vigor had arrived at the belt in time and before the warp scrambler became active TB0NE ran.
Salo called off the pursuit, I went to the nearest station and who was there but TB0NE he fled to the station and I warped out and back again to find him back outside. He headed in his shuttle to hide amongst some ships. He began to taunt again so I headed for him. One of his last comments was ôI love to see people being killed.ö Thinking that he would be rescued by CONCORD. I was in my missile-bedecked cormorant and launched a massed volley at him thinking he would warp away. He just sat there ôBOOMö bye-bye shuttle. He sat there in his pod completely shocked. Off went another volley, bye-bye pod.
His final reaction was of total shock. How had I killed him without being targeted by DED. We have yet to get round to telling him!

Like a lot people, I've been in tonnes of battles. These three maybe aren't the best ever, but they're the most memorable for me.
1. Like a lot of people, I have to say the big battle in VV stands out above all the others. I survived to the very end, which I was suprised at seeing as how it took me 11 minutes to load up when we jumped in (I started getting messages that I was being shot at after about 6 minutes, but still couldn't see my ship...).
2. CA jumping in, outnumbered, to DSS with the SA fleet waiting on the other side with drones out. What made this so memorable was that Duke and Xirt were both there. Duke analysed the situation and declared that we were not going in, it was suicide. He wanted to take the fleet back home. Xirt argued that he wasn't backing down, we had brought a fleet down this far and he wanted a fight! They argued for a bit, but Xirt won the argument and we jumped in. We took some losses (including my brand new 45mil Harpy, it was one of the first ones built ), but we won the battle.
3. CA vs Coalition. Kayosoni did an excellent fraps of this one, got podded twice making it though. Pre-Exodus, we had just under 100 in gang (most at the 36N gate in U-Q) in ideal battle positions with 2xMedium bubbles deployed. We didn't think there was any way that SA/Xetic would come in. But they did! They outnumbered us, but we had the advantage of position and the lag would have favoured us. The battle just seemed to go on forever. Eventually, the coalition were reinforced by CFS/more Xetic and we were too outnumbered and had to withdraw. Kill numbers were argued on both sides, but no-one could argue with just how good a battle it was.

That still makes me laugh, I was there too and actively encouraging Xirt not to jump in. We had no proper intel on the other side of the gate as our scout had been killed. As we jumped in by some amasing peice of luck, as we had no intel, half the stain had just warped off. Coupled with the fact that it was commanded by at the time, a relatively inexperienced Lightdarkness we were very lucky not to get completely slaughtered. That battle goes down imo as CAs luckiest ever fleet engagement and the worst performance by a SE fleet I have ever seen.
Duke was bang on the money.

jeez, I've been involved in sooooo many gargantuan battles that I've lost track of them.
I would say the one that really holds special memory for me was BoB/NSA/FU vs TPS in H-PA.
This was my first proper massive battle as a fleet commander (Galavet or Molle had mostly led before) and it went sweetly.
We had warning that the enemy were coming up with a massive fleet. They had around 53 ships and we had 33 ships.
The battle was pretty much won by our support fleet, who at the time, were pretty damn invincible (this was before the missile changes and when dual MWD were still in the game).
Anyway, if you are interested, you can get the full report here: Battle Report vs TPS

Yeah, that was a great battle. There were so many tactical maneuvers.... it was awesome. EternalDark was in command at the second battle (Xirt got popped in the lagfest 1hr prior), and it was possibly the best fleet leadership I have ever witnessed.
Also, the VV-V battles were excellent. The length of the battles taught me to always go to battle with a full deck of Marly lights and the drink of champions... big bottle of cherryade.
Some of the smaller fights will always stick out in my mind though. EddZ, GaRpY, Reptar and myself (Raven, Megathron, Kestrel anmd Scorpion respectively) headed into Outer Ring during the GNW and encountered a NORAD party of roughly 8/9 pilots. I remember EddZ constantly saying "this is all about you Gil. Don't F**k this up. No pressure... but if you don't cycle jam all those BS, we're all dead.... no pressure though". Only Reptar died in the end.... but he's a n00b anyways. :P

Well, one of my favorite battle was a long long long time ago..... When SA and CA were lovers and making up every day... U-QVWD... About 30 versus 30... Of course, they said we were 200, and we said they were 200 All type of ships were there, with larger BS presence. The fight lasted 2 hours, with many warps in and warps out, screaming, crying, insulting, congratulating... Eve life you know. Well, this was a model of the style. Rampage and Chowdown were in the picture. Overall result was about 10 BSs lost on each side... and again, they said we lost 200 and we said they lost 200... A great memory for this game, hoping and looking for some like this everyday now... and so little opportunity... Still looking... in Xetic space atm...

What a mess. No intel, no TS, no EW, ...in fact we just saw a fast gank at the gate and got punished for our stupidy. At least 4 BS lost there, thank god i was only in a Crow and got out alive (and killed Reptar ). Still a nice little fight which i kept in mind.
The best fleet battle i ever had is one i don¦t really remember ...cause i was completely drunk. Was somewhere north of OR, probably in Fade against FE and friends. I came home, logged in and clonejumped to 4c. The lovely Tempest was fitted and ready, and off i went to catch up on the fleet. 30 jumps, fleet battle, 30 jumps back. Nice evening. The first thing i did when i woke up the next morning was ( in this order) panic, thank all gods i know and then update my clone, which i forgot last night.

I'd say my favourite fight would have been the slaughtering of a PA fleet in 6NJ during the GNW. Someone on the PA alliance chat was obviously shouting "WARP TO THE STATION" as there was a stream of enemy battleships coming in one and two at a time and getting ripped apart by our concentrated fire.
Probably the only fleet fight I've been in where TS was just pure laughter.

At the very begining of the GNW before COD ect had declared war on PA officialy we setup a big blockade around BKG and the surrounding systems every gate mined ( half there fleet was frigs) and mines at the station at there exspected warp in point..........
Lets just say tere was no frigs when the battle started \o/ and hardly any lag 0_o
.also the fight against DDC of Xetic we had way more rfigs and few BS they had loads of BS and they jumped in on us in kari or some system was fun my comp actualy ran great shae was cut short whne they were forced to warp out totaly when MC joined the party though. ----------------------------------------------

Originally by: Reverend Necrona Oh and my personal favourite was when OC spanked Stain/Evolution and Homo started crying "OMG OMG IT DECLOAKED ME FOR NO REASON". heh.
This is also one of my favourites, not by number of kills, as i believe we only destroyed 3 or 4 CA bs(+ half a dozen cruisers) losing only frst to the jump in.
But the pure comedy of
a) being continously cycle jammed by 6 OTA/OC scorps for over a minute
b) Ca forces fleeing the battle and duke dorklar in typical OC fashion declaring total victory and anihilation over us from his safe spot.

I really liked the time Rev attacked Evol in a .5 and got his temptest blown out from under him.
I also liked the one where Jakal killed 2 OC Ravens 1v2 in an Apoc.

You lost shrike as well and killed about 5 of our cruisers. We didn't lose a bs. perhaps you're thinking of a different engagement, as at the time evolution had a hobby of shooting cruisers first b4 moving onto the bs's. Only problem was by the time you had finished with our cruisers, the fight was over heh. I think you eventually learned though.
I have to say this is also a great thread, good to see people discussing their fond memories in eve :). Reverend Necrona |

25k arkanor roid! there was lots of warping in and out of our indies , whole gang fought him for a couple of hours till he went to structure (200-500 ore). was a hell of a fight, plenty of "gf" in local after that. we spared his life and left it on structure cuz of respect for great fight, a chance u get once in a miners life!

One of my first fleet fights in O-W778 Detorid . A bunch of Omega Corp ( they and others became Supremacy I think) (CA) vs The Knights of Nhi(XF). We where fairly inexperienced beaten and lost 2 bs, but it was exciting because it was my first time and the fight took some time and consisted of 3 or 4 engagements.
I think the early fights where good prior to the stealth ships, but it might be me getting jaded.

There was one particular day during the GNW.
We engaged RONA in Luminaire taking out three BS's (credit to RONA for warping to the gate short handed).
Followed quickly with an engagement in ECP-8R against the local pirates again another three BS's taken out.
We then heard there was a joint OC / KIA fleet in ROIR so we went to engage. Jumping straight to the gate they were at, we took out 6 BS's and support for the loss of one blackbird.
All in all a great few hours in my Eve life, 12BS's and assorted support ships taken out for the loss of one interceptor and one blackbird. Brilliant fun!
Again one Saturday during the GNW in empire,
We were massively shorthanded with two BSÆs and one cruiser so we set-up the cruiser as bait for the ten æRiders of RohannÆ and æRONAÆ to undock or warp to the station.
In warp their mixed fleet, which warped out again after losing six ships including two BSÆs. This was an extremely good fun engagement.
I will also remember the slaughter of NSA one Sunday night in Deklien. 24BS and about the same in support killed for the loss of 2BSÆs and about 10 support, this was excellent fun to be part of.

It was the best time I ever had in eve. Running around in catch always something to do and shoot.
