Going for a manticore here with 3 arb cruise
It has 30mW base grid = 37.5mw with Eng V It has 245cpu = 306.25 Elec V
Each launcher (if using arb cruise will use 14 grid with cov ops 4 and 36cpu (weapons upgrades 5), thus 3x14 = 42 grid and 3 x 36=108 cpu.
Thus you wont have enough grid to fit 3 without a MAPC. basic one uses 16 cpu. for 10 grid this leaves 5.5 grid to play with, which aint alot.. better add another MAC, giving 15.5grid.
Hmm, with a mwd2 is 17grid looks like its not going to be very fast with 3 cruise's fitted.
Trying to fit 3 tho possible gimps you're ship or have i missed something? i suppose this is balanced as the other ships only get 2 missile pods.

What about with Covert Ops 5 ?
Bu those things might be really good if they require cov ops 5

with covert ops lvl 5 each launcher will use 13,125pw so all 3 will use 39,375 _______________________________________________

I think that lvl 5 covert ops only effect cpu usage of the covert ops cloak... I could be wrong. But none the less, it will be a dead stealth that packs only launchers and minimal propulsion boosting.

Did the math for another "Stealth bomber" post about manticore. Hope these help.
The manticore has a cruise missile launcher "grid use bonus" based on the "covert ops skill" which is 5% per level. This is in addition to the bonus that all ships get which is tied into the frigate level, which is mandatory, so everyone will have it. This will reduce the total grid requirements for the manticore with 3 launchers to 40mw (rounded up) if you have covert ops at lvl 5, or more realistically speaking, 42mw for the majority who will have covert ops skill at lvl 4. With my skills MAPC give 12.5mw grid instead of 10mw. I think that is engineering 5. anyone confirm or rectify that?.
One Micro-aux Power core Fitted
37.5mw + 12.5mw = 50mw 50mw - 42mw required = 8mw for everything else. Fittings are a bit tight if you want a rail in the spare hi-slot, but still possible. An MWD naturally changes things considerably.
Two Micro-aux Power cores Fitted
37.25mw + 25mw = 62.5mw 62.5 - 42mw = 20.5mw to use up. Practically swimming in power now, just a shame you had to use both low slots to get there. Maybe that is intentional to prevent you using ballistic mods in there?
Of course, things are slightly worse if whatever you don't have "whatever skill it is that improves output of the MAPC" to lvl 5, but they are also much improved for those anal (cough) er, I mean dedicated enough to have trained covert-ops skill to lvl 5

since the caldari one has an extra missile slot it needs that extra bonus in order to fit 3 cruise launchers _______________________________________________

Confirmed, micro aux powercores add to the base grid before skills apply, in the same way that overdrives add to the base speed before skills apply.

Caldari one is not fair, it should only have 2 like the rest, or all of them need 3. And it needs its second power bonus switched with something else, like missile velocity.

Have to disagree. With the scorpion nerf this is exactly what caldari ships needed. They are missile boat specialists so having three launchers is not all that unfair.

Scorpion was not nerfed.
Missile boat specialists doesnt mean that they use more... this is a damn boat thats supposed to use missiles, you'd think the other races would be able to fit a ******* launcher?
Oh, and the claw isnt by far the fastest interceptor, retribution doesnt do the best damage... so why should the manticore be so much better?

"Arbalest Cruise" - 1000 pg.
1000 - 98.5% = 15 pg. 15 - 20% = 12pg 12 - 20% 9.6 pg
now...37.5 PG on the manticore with Eng 5...
37.5 - 9.6*3 =37.5 - 28.8 pg with 3 "Arbalest" Cruise Launchers. = 8.7 pg left.
Now, this doesent take into account the PDU II witch probably should be fitted alongside a BCU.
Is this right?

no weps upgrade does cpu, not grid it gets the 19.something *5 reduction and another 20% reduction with covert ops 4.

you can fit 3 with two maps easy and prolly with just one as well, just dont expect to kit much else. they get 25% damage bonus from the start and 3 launcher points. tbh i dont see the use of the other 3 types, one less launcher and primary damage modifier is related to the covert ops skill.
really hope ccp considers rebalancing those bombers :|
i'll be getting a hound as soon as i can find one though, one of those must have expensive useless toys
