First off, congrats on the bpo. It is good to know that there are players in EVE that do have scruples! Now to tackle your problem I can only see one feasible way to do so. Depending on production times, for the sake of making a comparison lets say that you can produce 100 items a week (could be more), stop selling them for 1 week. Now if you have a good knowledge of the markets, pick 5 of the most busy regions (keeping in mind where the shield tanker ships are mostly produced, Caldari for example), and release 20 in each highway system for a total of 100, more if you can produce them. Set price at say, 50 Mil each. that will gross you 5 bil. right there. Keep production going and as new booster come out of the factory, just restock same markets again and again. Yes it it possible for someone with an incredible amount of isks to buy them up, but keep in mind that not everybody can afford to throw 200 Mil in a booster and as the novelty wears off the prices will become stable. Plus the person/s that can afford to buy all of them would have to be in the 5 regions in question, at the same time.(not possible) Remember that you and (for now) only you hold the original print. I, and I think many more like me, would wait to pay 50 mil for the booster. Why pay 200 Mil if I know that I can get it for 50 Mil. Eventually someone also will get the BPO, by then your corp will be so rich that you will not really care. Just my 2 cents.....err isks.

How about these things are pretty crappy, I cant see how you are selling them considering they use 100 more CPU than a Xl C5-L
I think Ill stick to using XL C5-L can be bought on the market for 17 mill.

It is only 60 cpu more 230 vs 170. But is it very hard to fit on many raven setups. It also requires Shield Op 5. I think the market will fix the pricing on these pretty quick really unless they produce even slower than I expect.

You might try auctioning some and see what the auction settles at.
Also, note that there is a premium for shipping stuff around, so if you don't want to distribute it, be aware that there are people who will want to distribute even for a limited margin like 10 million per unit.

Edited by: Minuz1 on 25/04/2005 03:55:40 If you want to be really cavilarious then you could probably refund the people who purchased the module@200M in a couple of weeks when the market starts to saturate and a normal constant price has developed.
Nothing will stop people from buying stuff that is undervalued on the market and reselling it, but you'd need pretty deep pockets to be able to hang on to heaps and heaps of the module.
I've done it myself, seeing myself being underbid and purchased the opponent then reselling at his station at higher prices.

IMHO you have a commodity and a monopoly right now.
Make your modules and sell for as high a price as the market will bear.
If 200 Mil is the rate ppl are willing to pay then sell for that. If not sell higher or lower. Part of the inherrent value of your BPO is the rarity. To hold of gougers make the gouge profit NOTHING.
Ppl who would whine that the prices are too high should bear witness to "if you have to ask the price you cannot afford it".
Correct me if I am wrong... YOU have invested skill time to train research fields YOU have spent ALOT of money to buy books that have no other purpose but to enter into the lottery YOU have run agent missions with RnD companies to get access to the RnD Agents YOU have waited patiently for the above to pay off
NOW
YOU deserve your PAY OFF.
If it were me I would produce enough modules to keep the market fed with 100-300 mil isk purchase price units. Make a high run BPC and produce from that then spin up ME to save on materials later when your competition gets more seeded prints.
Recoup your INVESTMENT in time patience and skills.
Why mass produce and sell at a low price? I would rather make 50 mill off of one sale than 50 mill off of 50 sales at 1 mil per sale. Less headaches less running about and more time milking the market. Once competition comes along you would be in good position to compete (assuming you have worked on your ME and possibly PE levels). Anyone who whines should pay attention, this is a MARKET not a spare parts dealership. 1. Produce 20-30 boosters 2. Put them on escrow starting at 100 mil with increments of 10 mil (the most expensive one being at 400 probably) 3. Note the highest price that sells in 24 hours 4. Sell at a price 5-10 mil below the maximum sold.
This way you ensure you have constant profit, and the maximum profit for resellers is very limited.
cheers. _______________________________________________
