We're all full of ourselves, selfish little bastards who stick teir noses into everyones buisiness and feel like good values are only required of everyone else but oneself. So I guess you could say Gallantean roleplaying is the standard.
As for acctual Gallante roleplaying, I would love to do some more roleplaying ingame. I'm Intaki though.

Malik and others who try to start a Gallante RP Corp may find there is quite a lack of Gallante pilots wishing to become willing dogmeat for the Caldari, as it is atm they have the ships the missiles and the numbers of pilots.
Don't get me wrong it sounds like fun, just fun with a heavy ISK tag on new clones.

Firstly, who says we will only be fighting the Caldari, if at all? . I'd agree with you that the Caldari definately have the edge on numbers of pod-pilots (they seem to breed like f**king bunnies), and a slightly overpowered missile system. But that's all about to change
The gallente do have some very excellent ships in their arsenal, and when used correctly, by pilots who know what they are doing, they can be deadly
Oh and ISK ain't really a problem friend. Not when my, ahem, 'Erotica Movie' sales earn me several million ISK on a weekly basis

Hmm, to be honest, the number of Caldari pilots is so overwhelming because their ships are so easy to pilot that in a serious fight Gallante vs Caldari by pure player numbers Gallante wouldn't stand a chance...
Not because Caldari are great, but because they would get swarmed by Caldari rookies in battleships.

Well, according to a lot of the background Gallanteans try to become better friends with the Caldari and the Intaki never really thought the Gallante Caldari war was justified in the first place.
Gallanteans in general are much more opposed to the Amarr empire, since it basicly stands for everything the Federation is not.

I'm not sure I completely understand this, Naos. The perception is Gallente ships weaker than Caldari and this is going to affect serious RPers? I don't think a true roleplayer gives a rat's behind of who has the bigger ship, they are usually more open minded and imaginative than that. I also think RPers are the people getting bored at the grind and looking to add some depth to the game. I think it's the narrow minded idiots who have a prejudiced view of Gallenteans that are making this a difficult task. (read some of the above posts for examples of my last sentence.)

Could you post some references to this background material. I'd really like to read it, because I don't recall anything about the Gallente not wanting the Caldari to split and wanting to be better friends. And when did the Intaki become non-Gallente? Last time I looked they were Gallente Federation citizens so why would the Gallente want to be "better friends" with them? YOu have me confused, but hey, like I seriously asked, could you please post links to this background material. Thanks.

Gallente ships pretty much represent Gallente as a whole, can't stand much blasts, can't deal much blasts - if any, weak, fragile, mediocre, at best only a flying art museum and a good topic for jokes.

Acctually, if you compare Caldari and Gallante purely by the amount of firepower they can field with their ships Gallante would win, simply because the Megathron can be fit with an ok gank setup...

I'm RPing a Gallente Citizen who's ****ed off that even though he has almost an 8.0 faction standing, as well as high standings to the Federal Navy, they still shoot him on sight in 1.0 systems.
Its especially fun when my Federal Navy agents send me to systems where the Federal Navy will gank me on sight (after informing me that I have to leave immedietely or be fired upon, while I am being fired upon). Apparently high agent standings do not mean that your agent will not try to have you assassinated.

Blasteraxx VS Moaning = Dead Blasteraxx (given pilots of equal competancy ) .. Moaning keeps range and rax can't close in time for the fury of it's blasters to have effect. IF however the Blasteraxx gets under the rails tracking arc it still has to contend with Heavy Missiles peeling it's paint.

Umm... sure.
A thorax is faster, has better cap with a MWD, and has enough drones to just slap the moa silly. Unless of course, youre talking about something like a 60k starting range, in which case the thorax is just going to warp out.
You're right about heavy missiles peeling my paint though. Thats about all two heavy launchers will do, put a few dings in my custom paint job.
And please tell me you arent seriously arguing that a thorax is underpowered for a tech1 cruiser. I'm gallente and even I'll admit that its a bit lopsided in that particular bracket.

Someone once gave me a piece of advice when I was whining about something or other being overpowered.
Think it's so hot? Then use it yourself.
We got 8 races to choose from for RP reasons, you choose the face/government that you enjoy playing AS, but otherwise you are completely free in ship choice.
I started a minmatar alt recently just cuz I got tired of being a corporate wageslave, only thing that really changed was my portrait and starting from 0 skillpoints again. So what, big deal, bring all the missiles and megapulse you want, I'm flying a Rifter now and it's fun as hell, even with 80k skillpoints it's still fun to fly and can make myself useful as a tackler.
Everyone friken whine too much. Nerf this, buff that, megathron sucks, bla bla bla. STFU. If you dont like Megathron then dont fly it. You think Raven rocks, then use it.

Let me break it down for everyone here:
Gallente - sleek, sexy designs (except for that blasphemous Domi)
Caldari - Most "spaceship" looking ships ingame
Amarr - Freaking powerhouses, hence the Amarrian philosophy
Minmatar - Ugly as hell at first, but the designs grow on ya after time. The most "pirate" looking ships ingame tbh. Not bad for damn dirty slaves who have the mental capacity of a rusted nail. No offense to all damn dirty slaves, some are cool.
