Hey AWSOME JOB!!! It got a corpmate and I wondering how you got the models though...
And since you have them, is there anyway to get a library of the items to put into maya or 3ds max for other folks to put into future videos of this sort?
If not? What program did you use to get the models at least so some of us can recreate the wheel? :-)

I wrote the exporter tool, and I have explicitly given instructions to WildCard not to distribute the tool.
Why?
Simple, I dont want to help in any way, for people to exploit the game or cause any problems for the superb staff at CCP who gave permission for this project.
Sorry.
Ah kewl been watching your responses to this Drax... Great job extracting the ship models... :-) I was awsome watching this... who'd you talk to about stripping out the models in CCP so we can ask for the same type of permission? I only ask cuz I'd love for there to be more "CGI Intensive" videos that come out like this... perhaps a couple series based CGI cartoons that would be released monthly (kinda like winterblinks wda cartoons)
Just figured I ask :-) Awsome job again guys... From Ashes to Ashes... From Dust to Dust....

Originally by: Draximus Prime Sorry but ive already covered this.
I wont be distributing the tool, as CCP have placed great trust in us regarding this little project and I do not intend to let them down.
The problem with giving the tool to someone else, is that I am no longer in control of it, and therefore I cant guarantee its usage to be what it was designed for.
I can respect this Draximus... I wouldn't release the program myself honestly either with the fine line of intellectual property theft here with such a program.
That being said, can you possibly release a library of models (already extracted) that could be downloaded and imported to maya or 3ds max? That way you control the tool, but the models are still exported (also no way to reimport them without your tool) so really no chance for exploit... plus there really are some of us in the community who would love to CGI some sweet corporation intros and then some mini-series only to be posted here. Obviously we'd get our ass sued if we ever made any profit from the models, and using ingame footage has always been what this community is about I can really seeing that being chaned with the release of the models alone...
Anyways hope you take the models only library release into consideration.
Again.. GJ guys on the intro... can't wait for the movie. Nes From Ashes to Ashes... From Dust to Dust....

Originally by: Draximus Prime I cannot release any models as the models are not mine to release, I didnt create them, nor do I own the copyright to them, they are the property of CCP and as such it is up to CCP to release them.
Alrighty, no problem. Can't blame a brother for asking. From Ashes to Ashes... From Dust to Dust....
