Actually,
I would say that M0o was doomed to "go out to pasture" from the very start of their plan.

They attacked anyone anywhere. It was bound to happen.

In the last 10 days, theyve had their butts handed to them by RUS, and they've had some pilots committ unsanctioned killings, which I heard almost resulted in the Stain Alliance coming for thier heads. I know for a fact that stain is about 15 corps with average membership of 50 or so players. Who wants to fight 750 well equipped ppl?

I predicted that Moo would go in search of greener fields, they relied on container lag, and exploits in the game to give them success.

They had thier blockades well organized to be sure, but with no one working against the lag etc... in an aggressive way they were allowed by PC's to flourish. I mean give me a break TTI is the biggest joke in the game. They dont eeven know who all thier members are, or even if they are still playing.

Having said that, Sentry guns in ALL of empire space is a joke. Killing a human pirate with a security rating of -4.9 or less AND TAKING A HIT ON DEF RATING is a joke. Plan and simple. Boredom will kill this game, if htey push all the action to 0.0 space and the ppl there must travel 50 jumps to buy a skill.

btw - Reverend, how you feel about Jort telling others that he sanctioned you and Riffin being killed? Gotta love brotherhood eh?

I am a noob but even I have seen tactics and know of tactics to draw pirates into traps. I am not going to mention them here because the guy that let me in on them will pod me.

Nobody with any sense is going to be drawn into a slug fest. Especially if you are unpopular, the odds will always escalate against you. As a Noob I am very careful who I engage, you have to way risk against gain. If you want to batter a pirate corp some creative thinking will be required. Information and espionage will have to be the way unless you get lucky and bump into them like RUS did. My gun is bigger than your gun come here and get your butt kicked is not going to work.

Attack when strong, retreat when weakened. If you are few, make your forces look like many; if you are many, conceal your true numbers. Harass the enemy; anger his generals and make them lose their composure. Conceal the disposition of your forces while discerning the enemies; in this way he will have to cover a wide area while you may concentrate where he is weakest.

Paraphrasing, been a while since i read it. Tzu and i are old buds ,-). In fact after my last screwup i distinctly heard the sound of a muttered Chinese curse and a forehead-slap...

"Several members have cancelled their subscriptions but if in the following weeks we see some change in the situation i.e not having sentry guns at all gates in empire space, we may change our minds"

This would be comparable to ***** bin Laden whining about having to hide in the mountains because of 9/11.

No sh*t you can't go anywhere in empire space, Tis the life you chose.
