Me and some friends are getting insane lag on TQ, only occured after the latest patch, asked in local and they got the same, check system load, 16 players in local.
It should not take 10 seconds for mods to respond.
Its getting dodgy doing missions with as much lag.
Anyone else getting ub3r lag?

Yup, same here. I've been experiencing 10-15 sec lag pretty much every single day, ever since the latest patch. ****es me off to no end!
It would be nice for CCP dudes to actually acknowledge the problem...

Perhaps u got too many modules Perhaps u are firing lasers Perhaps u are using mining lasers Perhaps u are using drones Perhaps u are in deadspace Perhaps u are playing EVE
So... if u are playing EVE then perhaps u should be used to play with LAG already!

this is caused by using the same db's for the site as they use for the games...poor planning really.
Replicate what is needed every 6-12 hours, to a db that is used for the site alone, this is childs play CCP...(it is very easy) "it's like Hee Haw in space..."

Avoid Empire.
It's fine in 0.0.
That's the ultimate weapon to enforce the true EXODUS: Empire servers now run on 486 DX II 66Mhz

Amazing how when someone lags they immediatly blame eve and never even consider their own isp or a router along their traceroute as the fault.
Ill bet if most tracert their own isp they will likely have the odd pingspike or timeout. __________________________________________

No problem on my end, it's been fine as always. These troubles started after the latest patch and I'm not the only one to have noticed them - others in the system with me were complaining, too.

And multiple people, in multiple countries, using multiple ISP's and multiple router types, have the same problem at the same time...

Because theres no possibility that in anyway, this relates to the system you are in, or the peering agreements CCP's ISP has, right?
That is the common point in all these peoples problems, yet its ok for you to make the assumption its the end user, yet not ok for them to make the assumption its CCP?

I had similar issues which were resolved by running Microsoft's Antispyware Beta yesterday, despite having both Adaware and Spybot on my PC for ages...
C'mon CCP, sort out my PC!

Ugh-huh... suddenly the patch made all the spyware that'd been hiding on my HD revolt and cause the lag in Eve for me. Umm... yeah that's it!

Performance since pre-shiva has gone in the toilet for the same user base overall.
Any grp activety is a joke. :(
Some serious head boppin needs to occur over there in CCP land and get the fundementals sorted, design flaws etc as well as the overall network.

I never had any lag problems with eve before. Now with the last patch everything is laggy. I also have an CoH account, nothing changed there.
So, Eve = laggy CoH = no lag
ISP? I don't thing so.

It seems the change CCP made with the login (only takes seconds instead of minutes if you have lots of people in address book) affected the mail and people and places parts with lag.
Mail is laggy, address book is laggier and occasionally huge lag spikes occur where moving stuff to hangar takes minutes.

Edited by: Alenas on 19/04/2005 13:58:07 I have 2 PCs:
1 with Nvidia chip - newest drivers - since the patch it is very laggy - which is was not before 1 with ATI chip - not laggy
So how about the rest of you guys? Can the laggy ones say what card(s) they're using? --
