Im praying they got em backed up along with our research slots........in beta we told ccp to retain at least 200 testers on a half price account or somthing with an 8 hour a week contract to the test server *sigh*, but no we get untested crap at top $$

I am seriously hoping that this is a bug, and not an intended change.. if it's intended, then why not just take bookmarks out, since they are effectively worthless.

I was also pretty surprised at this one. No doubt it is a nerf directed at instadocking. Now this is blatant statement from CCP claiming they know better than their player base how to play the game. They couldn't foresee people would do instdock, they didn't like it, and they nerfed it 3 months after release, practically taking one feature out of the game (the coordinate bookmarks). I'm starting to worry with all this nerfing, CCP is slow drifting away from the original game design, destroying one feature after another. They don't seem to be able to come up with more creative ideas. There are bugs reported and discussed during beta that were not yet fixed, people are hurting for new content, and now they go after instadocking...

you have got to be kidding! We can only have one bookmark per system now???
I don't see why the'd think insta-dock is a problem... you still have to set up the bookmark, and it usually only works from one angle.
Maybe someone'll figure out that's stupid and fix it by the time I'm back from vacation ;-) |

Uggg...Are you saying that ccp intended for this one bookmark a system change to happen? I thought it was a bug that they were (should have already) fix'n. I should have known better :( If this is the way it suppose to be it may be the straw that breaks the camel's back. I am a miner/tugger and having multible bookmarks is important.
Dang, now i don't even want to log in knowing this. :(

Things would be clear if they had release notes along with the patch...
Why no release notes?
(And I'm not talking about the incomplete forecast we got on the forums)

One bookmark per system is big bug. They know it, and they'll fix it. Probably in next patch :)

The most screwed up part of this is that when you go to make the second bookmark, it doesn't warn you that the previous bookmark is about to go away...

It's also top create safe spots in a solar system, fopr you to hide or mass a fleet in order to attack in the best possible direction.
Until a dev officially says otherwise, I really don't think that the current situation was intended.

There's a lack of communication from CCP on this topic. The reason I think this was intended is it seems to be implemented properly. The first I connected after the patch the people and places window was busy doing the cleaning of coordinate bookmarks accordingly to the rule of one per system. And afterwards it's impossible to add a second in the same system very consistently.
Psyco: If this was intended, then why not say it? Also why did they need all this time to come up with such a cheap nerf? Instadocking has been around for a long time. Besides this nerf is not stopping instadocking, it's just making it more annoying, since you have to remake your bookmark everytime you change activity, which is still less boring than waiting the time to dock over and over when you do a repetitive activity.

Well put it this way - this *wasn't* in 1103 (which was the patch on chaos the night before 1105 was deployed).
So I'm of the opinion this is a bug - but only time will tell...

The bookmark issue is such a critical mess. Talk about degrading the games navigation; add this bug with the my factory and research slot problem--I feel driven out. Sure CCP has my monthly money but not for long if all I feel when I play is frustration.

I hope its a bug too. As a miner I find this extremely inconvenient. It takes me hours to find good belts now because I have to search each system for a single grade A belt and hope to Allah no one mines it out before we can get back to it.
Then move onto the next system. Like I said, POO POO.

Thanks for the news Pann. I don't know how or why the bookmark thing happened but combind with some of the new "features" of the game it sucked.

Can we have a statement about the lost bookmarks? Do we get them back?

Wheather this is fixed in the next patch or not, its at least good to know that this problem is being looked at and was most likely not intended.

There wouldnt be an issue if CCP decided to warp you within 10 KM of your targets... Granted its not Imediot docking but if you were to set the range to 5km -10KM the maximum you would be away is 10km and you could end up closer. That would stop the need to have the billion bookmarks to cut down on docking time.

So is that tuesday of this week (i.e. tommorow) or next week. I am not being a smart ass about the pushing back of patches, just curious.
