That's probably due to pilot skill. The rifter, as a frigate, is much weaker than the newly buffed frigs. It's not terrible - it just isn't as strong as the other.

Anyone who thinks the rifter isn't bad cleary doesn't know what he is talking about.
The rifter is a free kill for pretty much any frig out there. |

No it isnt, its not even the best jack of all trades anymore, atron for example get a better armoe tank with repper, a better shield tank, a better ktiing ability, more dps, more speed, more agility. Its pure bad now!
Pretty sure in my statement i said that the Rifters role is taken/stolen by all four of the attack frigates, but i thank you for agreeing with me.
And before you ask i agree that the rifter needs a make over, its no longer viable, but the reasons of why are clearly different between us.
i went into more detail just now on the [Winter] More Combat Frigs! forum near the end about the Rifter and so far i have had positive feedback. |

But guess what......that mean jack squat is actual performance!
'useless' ships often kill the FOTM ships
Simple fact of the matter is that the landscape has been levelled dramatically and anyone who just sprouts crap about a specifi ship being the worst obviously just flys the FOTM ships and doesn't challenge themselves to think outside the box and try new things 'just to see what happens'
Look at my previous corp The Black Rebel Rifter Club, they often kill stuff that is impossible if you listen to the naysayers and eft warriors that have 'numbers' to backup their claims
