When I played EQ we had an amazing raid attendance tracking system called DKP . I am looking for something for my corp to make easier how we track attendance for Mining, pve and pvp Ops as well as alliance Ops. this is an alt first of all and a lot of our in corp benefits are based on participation in different ops like our SRP etc. Now I have seen mining buddy a bit but seems like the developer has taken a break from eve and seems to be only geared toward mining. Is there any program web or clientbased that would help with this? Even if it is very simple it would help with knowing who is participating. Thanks

Just a thought....Forums + the FC of the fleet just noting down names who is there and who isn't and for how long. Inject your skillbook before you leave the station. I would suggest using google docs for what you want.
Create a spreadsheet with everyone's name on it (as an added benefit it's easy to add new names to it) then start tracking.
There are tons of different ways to do a layout for it so take the time to figure out what it is you are really looking for and build it out with an eye to future useability as it expands.
Or, if you want to get really fancy, you could start work on a simple database.
I cannot think of any tools / apps that would do what you are requesting though. Everyone seems to do their own thing since people's valuations of the activities and metrics are all different.

There's nothing in-game because CCP doesn't allow add-ons or mods.
For attendance, if you're saving chatlog to file (it's saved by default), do a rollcall in the fleet channel ("everyone here and ready say 'aye'") and then load up the chat file in notepad or some text editor and pull everyone's names from it.
For PVP ops you can use killmails to keep track of attendance.
For PVE and mining, especially if you want to keep track of who donates what, you may have to use audit log containers (I'm not sure if corporate hangars automatically log stuff, haven't played in a while). Note that you can highlight and cut/paste information from the game to an external program such as Excel, so you may be able to create some sort of mining / loot donation spreadsheet from the audit log containers, which keep track of who adds or removes what from the contents.
There are API key features for setting up calendar events and your corp members accepting/declining said events, so you can probably mirror the in-game calendar on your website, but as far as keeping track of who is attending, I'm not sure. The game does have a web browser, and an officer could upload the list of "who's in fleet" and then have a web applet sort it out and assign dkp, not sure. |

Could you just adapt one of the standard DKP systems to suit EVE activities? For example, the DKP plugin for a guildportal.com free guild site. It wouldn't be perfect, but the attendance tracking part, calendar invite function, etc. would still be there. Kid:-á I wish we had time to bury them fellas. Josey Wales:-á To hell with them fellas. Last but not least.
You could try to recruit a very smart IT guy into your corp and let him build such a thing and then sell it to others for ISK.
Keep in mind, it has to be out of game, not interfering with the actual client.
So something that makes use of exported logs or API to show you stuff would be allowed. Inject your skillbook before you leave the station. Hmm... not that I know of, sorry. Your best bet would be this:

So something that makes use of exported logs or API to show you stuff would be allowed. A site with a single button of "check me in!" for an event, and using the Eve API, would be pretty easy to code. Find your local corp code monkey, and throw the in-game browser documentation at him. My corp contains a programmer who will build this for plexes.
My advice would be to use a piece of paper and not overcomplicate something that isn't that hard.. ^ This.
Nothing bad about asking if he can do it and how much it will cost you.
You can always say no if you find it too expensive.

I think. http://fleet-up.com/ does it. Can't remember the details, but I think I heard it on a podcast Vocies from the Void, the maker talked about it and I am pretty sure he mentioned that you could track some sort of attendance for different operations.
Try it out. |
