I've got an E-Machines M5310 with the AMD 2400+ (I'm pretty sure) and an ATI IGP card. It doesn't run that fast, but it is very playable. Any of the new one have AMD 64-bit processors and would like run the game like a champ. It's a great laptop, I've dropped it like a dozen times and haven't had any problems, except for a few *****s in the case :)

I run eve on a dinosaur and it works fine, I affectionately refer to it as my CRAP-top. Pentium 3 1.3ghz with a geoforce 2 go(32mb) Nvidia chipset and 512 mb of ram. Now you dont exactly get the full effect of a higher end system, but for a computer that I bought from gateway 4 years ago, it runs missions mines and does everything I need it to very well. In your case I would definately go for the non-integrated graphics card as I think that and alot of defragging and system maintenance that keeps mine alive.

That ATI x700 mobility is really awesome; between that and anything above a Pentium M 1.6 or any Athlon 64 Eve will run great with everything turned on.

From experience I've noticed that a laptop with a P3 running at 1.2 Ghz with 512 mb of RAM and with Intel Extreme Graphics runs EVE pretty well 9 - 13 FPS in-flight 30+ in station with all special effects off not including Audio being turned off is bareable but it could get better with more RAM. This is based on a Dell Latitude C400 Laptop with the following Specs:
Pentium 3 @ 1.2 Ghz 512 Mb SDRAM PC133 (2x256mb) Intel Extreme Graphics (64mb Shared)
(I believe it takes up to 225mb of Ram when the system is maxed out at 1 gb)
20 gb Toshiba HDD USB 24x10x24CD/RW 8xDVD-ROM Drive Intergrated Sound Intergrated Ethernet Running Windows 2000 Professional
And as a side note I've noticed that any system Desktop or Laptop with Intel Extreme Graphics runs EVE very well provided that the Video takes at least 64mb of shared RAM.
Hope this helps

Edited by: RiotRick on 15/11/2006 12:41:33 I have an Acer Travelmate 4102DDR2.
1,73Ghz Centrino 1GB Memory ATI Mobility Radeon X700 64MB 1280x800 15,4" widescreen
EVE runs fine on this machine, it's my main pc to play it on. Sometimes I connect it to my 19" widescreen (1440x900) TFT. It can handle that without a problem too.
