I'm honestly loosing faith in most people playing this game right now. I can see the situation from both sides, and both are just lame. For gods sake, get out of high sec. empire!!!!
Has the quality of players dropped this low in EVE? I guess none of you want a challenge, danger, excitement, or adventure. It seems that no one dare's enter a .4 or lower because the big bad boogie man is going to get you. Is everyone this paranoid that stay's in high sec empire.
I was curious about the situation in .4 and lower systems so i decided to take a brief tour of a few regions like Aridia, my home per se. I thought it was just Aridia but it's not, it's almost all of the regioins like it (low sec empire).
I have not spent more than a few hours in high sec empire in a very very long time, a year or more. When I left high sec empire, about a month into the game, low sec and 0.0 were the place to be. There were thriving economies, anti-pirate and pirate corps, industrial corps, rich's to be made and lost, battles to be fought. Now it's just dead, I don't think pirating killed it off, it's the players taking the easy way out that did.
Before I ever pirate'd, I mined and npc'd. When a pirate came along my corp and others drove him off, or atleast tried. When I was a pirate, retired btw, I often would wonder where all the miners and npc'ers were to run me off.
In the early day's ccp didn't hold your hand and wipe your bottom, if you had a problem with someone you fixed it. You won some, you lost some. It's a game ffs. It's not like my son died in RL because my megathron went down in flames. High sec empire is there for people that are new to the game. If you don't want other RL people to "interfere" with your game, don't play a mmo?
Make some friends, grow a pair, and find one of the thousands of empty .4 and lower systems out there with riches and danger at every belt.
If you have the skills to fly a barge, get to .4 and lower and mine with protection. New players don't fly barges imo. As for the gankers, your heart is in the right place I guess, but the way you're going about it is as lame as the barge pilots. Lack of preparation on your part does not constitute greifing on mine |
