Whenever I try to run 2 accounts in space (mining or whatever) the computer crashes and reboots after a a few min in space. It's never any problem inside stations though. Getting quite annoying when I've got two very useable ac****s.
Running XP SP2 3.6Ghz P4 1024Mb DDR2 GeForce 6800 GT PCI-Express 256Mb with the 71.89 drivers
Currently elaborating if it's got somethin to do with the dual monitor setup I've got but I get the problem even if I run only one....
Anyone have a clue? Could it be that the gfx card simply still is too new and the drivers for it simply isn't up to scratch?

Have had this problem with one of my PCs.
When i got the reboot, id hear a ticking sound through the speakers.
In the end tho i put this problem down to the 'sun occluded' option not working properly.
This problem is well known to cause major problems, so it is advised that its turned off.
The problem i have is that evan when its turned off, its actually still turned on :/
My 2nd PC (far less powerfull) can run 2 instances of Eve without crashes.
I dont think it will be anything to do with you Components tbh, i had this problem on different GFX cards, originally on a GF 4Ti4200 and then on a GF FX5900 exactly the same.

Exactly the sam thing, ticking sound and all. My old far less powerful PC could also run two accounts. But I disabled sound on both accounts (not just turning it down but checking the box)and now it works fine, despite having sun occlusion on. WEll, problem solved fo now, next time it probably IS the occlusion :)

been remembering a little more about when i had this problem.
The reboots were down to the sound (disabling the sound (SB Audigy) prevented the reboots).
Sun Oclusion seems to be responsable for the Client drops.
i just use 2 computers these days cos the constant crashing was doing my head in

Had this months back
Turn off sound to both accounts and it will not crash
I run 2 accounts in window on 1 pc. both have sound off on the game but can run winamp fine (not if in combat tho as thats a risk)
For some reason eve and Soundblasters dont mix too well

i always have 2 accounts, sometimes 3 running at the same time on 1 pc. i have never had this problem. but i have always used soundblaster cards. when i 1st started i had the soundblaster live platium, then went to a audigy 2 platium, now i have the audigy 4. i have never had a probem with any of these cards and eve.

I've had this problem for ages too and it's caused by the audigy.
As it works fine for you then which audigy drivers, eax version and so on do you use and did you skip any add-ons like the mixer etc.???
