It's nice feature that you can just afk and wait for skills, but it makes the game kinda boring. Why not have skills like they are now, but you get speed bonus for grinding. It would make things more meaningful, since only thing you can grind is money, and money you can buy with real life monies so grinding is kinda pointless. I'm going to keep playing, i just wanted to present you with obvious flaw in the system. I bet eve online would do far better with system where you could get benefits from grinding, it's also unfair that someone can idle few years and get ybersom skills.

People just grinded SP instead of playing the game. You're supposed to play the game and do fun things instead of grinding levels. It also keeps all activities equal, so you can trade, manufacture, lead alliances, spy or do whatever and you won't get left behind as a consequense. The system is also in place to allow casual players to keep up with no life basement dwellers. It's one of the best features in the game and is very unlikely to be changed because you're used to running in the hamster wheel and feel comfortable doing it. From a mechanical point it's also a problem, since how are you supposed to gain the extra SP? What activity do you thing should give you them? If you name something specific, you're just giving a middle finger to every player who doesn't engage in the activity. If you just get the same extra SP for everythin, you might as well just speed up passive training, since it amounts to the same thing. If you want to give specific SP for specific activity(gunnery for shooting), you're encouraging pointless grinding and it doesn't translate well to many skill or skill groups. This idea has been discussed to death and no one has managed to present a good reason or way to introduce it to the game, but you're welcome to try doing that.

I'm unemployed my self and it's going to stay that way (thank god) prolly rest of my life, so for me it is not a problem. You do have a point there tho, but what you could do with this new system is: 1. When you wake up, put eve online on. 2. Go to work. 3. ???? 4. Profit.
