slothe	Posted - 2005.04.26 19:33:00 - [1] A universal warning was recently put out for hostile pilots mysterious attacks on increase at the fringes of caldari space. reported by Kathuese Sangere \| 2005.04.21 23:02:13 Recent news reports have been flooding in from various anonymous sources of attacks at the fringes of Caldari space. For the past few months these mysterious attacks have been on the rise and they do not appear to be letting up. Each of the attacks appears to contain a small tightly nit fleet of eight or so Caldari ships, enlisted in an oddly named corporation. Every attempt at communication with any of these vessels is met with garbled and seemingly random noise. Early attempts at decrypting the signals have failed but cryptologists are still working on decoding fragments of communications submitted by pilots who have encountered them. Only tonight a group of these mysterious vessels appeared, this time in the Akora system, their origins still completely unknown, always appearing within the Ihatalo constellation. The ships were dealt with by various pilots, before they could wreak too much damage. Unfortunately no-one was captured and the only communications were the now familiar garbled random noise. As these attacks rise, we must surely ask ourselves, who are these pilots and what are they doing? Especially as sightings of these pilots starts creeping towards higher security space. It appears not even concord can deal with them, as they have failed to intercept the pilots on every occasion it has been recorded they have entered high security space. Official figures from the jumpgate records bureau for the Ihatalo system have reported a slight drop in industrial and light combat ship movement since the beginning of these attacks. We did hold one for questioning but because of a trigger happy and deaf corp m8 he got blasted, as to there purpose me thinks drunk devs

All their call signs end in capital letters, and though their garble appears to be mostly random, the placement of capitals almost doesn't. That they're in caldari ships ... maybe they're testing/using a new form of comm-cryptology. Members of the same group/gang/setting might be able read normally, but the crypto reconfigures in local to something else, but why they'd do this in a public channel and not just use a private one, I'm not sure. Seems punctuation was used correctly in some cases, part of a code in others. Makes it very difficult to tell which is which. We have fought them 3 times, they are part of an event since you can fire on them without being flagged/or get sentries on you. They speak in Green, and have cloaks, EW and damage mods on their caldari ships, the key is probably to capture one, decrypting has been tried and has failed from several individuals. Just to add we ran into them again tonight and mannaged to get into a lengthy convo with some of them. Asking certian questions get them irriated. Some things seems to be possible to decode, but most of it doesn't.
