Breaking the key and trying to decypher something that you don't know which cryptographic algorith is used is useless. Given that there are patterns repeating it seems that it is a monoalhpabetic shift cypher used. (That, or they were just pounding on the keyboard, which if you do too many times you'll end up hitting same bunch of keys)
Your best bet is a frequency attack on the cyphertext. Don't know if the text provided is sufficiently long though.

Yet another event missed 
The text in the chat logs is not incrypted, its merely someone typing random crap with punctuation. Some of the 'words' typed next to/near others are from the same group of keys, so dont waste too much time looking into that.

Yeah i was about to say that myself, ive been reseaching it together with some collegues and used different decrypting programs to find deal with the code.
sadly, it fails horribly to make any sence for the simple reason that there are no repeated words. nothing from the 5 recorded logs have a repeated word. There are more reasons but i wont go into that.
there is only 1 that makes any kind of sence of the characters, but alas, his wording (they differ quite heavily from char to char) is also a hard nut to *****. (you cant say C.rack?)
We do have some clues and other things we are working on now, but they can only be set in effect if these mysterious attackers show up again. In any case, this is truly a mystery, and takes to much of my sleeping time 
I am amazed however of concords inabillity to handle this manner, and that no caldari nor minmatar officials have spoken anything about it.

Yeap, just gave the "cyphertext" a quick look...
Words like "oddkk" can't be english, unless of course a monoalhpabetic cypher wasn't used, in which case it is highly unlikely you'd get 2 double mappings in a row in a 5 letter word.
Now not sure about icelandic but don't think they would use icelandic in an event if they really wanted someone to decrypt it...

Actually, it could be cypher, the fact that the same word doesn't repeat doesn't mean it's not code. It just means it's not a simple code. I was looking at their names and the description of their corp. The last letters of each word with one exception is capitolized. I was thinking that this might be a hint that the last letter of every word is a key for that word, rather than part of that word. Meaning a 5 letter word would actually be a 4 letter word and a 1 character key. I haven't figured out anything yet, but it's a possibility.
