My main concern is when devs say that T3's need to be put down like a rabid dog. I mean how many people would fly a Proteus if it had SP loss and the tank of a deimos? If the dev have said that there a damn good reason for it. The whole Orca hanger changeing ships in combat or ejecting and the orca throwning it in the hanger and the t3 pilot loses nothing. They NERFED the whole eject system because of people pull tricks like that and is was rare a t3 pilot would sit in a ship that what in stru and would eject from it with only isk lose not the sp loss now well as i stated before you will lose a skill level when you enter combat with a t3 like it should have been when they came out. I have t3's in my hanger i use them for probing not pvp but i understand full well what will happen if i lose one of them when i board one after dec 4th and iam ok with it. Now for the pvp side HTFU and stop crying.
Wow, way to completely fail at reading. I don't even know where to begin. |

Tech 3 ships being unaffected by technetium prices are about the same cost fit as a doctrine battleship these days... Even the hull prices for them has been floating around 180m with the total cost of a T2 fit being around 400-450m.
Subcaps regardless of tech, tier or cost will continue to die as long as people think high sec wardecs are fun.
Edit: to the people flying the 3 ships, losing a level in a random rank one skill that takes three whole days to retrain shouldn't be a hindrance if your flying a cruiser that costs about the same as a carrier hull if pimped properly (all you damn min/maxers)' so this again is another moot argument. |

I would rather see more T3's exploding due to more people flying them with no skill point loss than a few now and then thinking to myself that at lease they lost skill points. One adds excitement to the game and the other does not.

I personally can't wait until they nerf T3's into the ground in a disillusioned stupor. I too believe that having ships that are worse than their HAC counterparts, but jack of all trades (this is what CCP has said they want T3's to be), cost 300% more and invoke a skillpoint loss on death is balanced.
/sarcasm
Excluding the Tengu, T3's are already underpowered with the exception of an armor web loki which only works well because there is otherwise no viable long range armor web platform. Tengu is only good because heavy missiles are/will be good, they should be nerfed more imo.
The only place where T3's are actually decently viable is with gang boosting--which will soon get nerfed anyway. In pretty much all other roles T3's offer a hilariously small advantage that nobody even cares about because of the price and SP loss.
Proteus is an absolute joke for more reasons than one, as is the legion. Tengu is good only through the fact that it's powergrid and cap allow for 100mn AB fits (without this fit, the tengu would rarely be flown in pvp) which also pretty much only work well with non-tracking dependent weapons (i.e. missiles.) The loki an absolute joke in any shield setup, has dps that is worse than a sleipnir, tank that is worse than a sleipnir, fitting that is worse than a sleipnir. Its armor setup is the only good thing about it.
It's so frustrating to have a complete rack of level 5 skills for T3's that I end up not using because T3's are so goddamn inefficient in terms of balancing isk with utility and power with perceived power. I keep buying myself proteuses and then having to sell them because they're completely unusable in 99% of combat situations. You're almost always better served with using a kiting ship, and there are plenty that can achieve the same dps the proteus can, but from 20km.
Oh yea, in regards to the title, I won't be flying T3's if I cannot eject. I'll continue to use an armor web loki, but I don't use it in pvp so hopefully I won't get into a situation where I die. |

I think I can live without it though. Heck, the last few times my ship has been killed, it was vaporized so fast there was no time to eject anyway.
well. this is the problem for me too. It's the only reason why i try to eject every time my ship goes to boom: warping out before lag of blowing. Last time i missed this moment i found myself locked and scrambled before i got control over my pod. And this was in low-sec, where pods are "unstoppable"

Please stop nailing posts so well Marlona, i can't like your replies more than once :(.
On topic, YES, can't orca scoop now \o/. Not that it affects me in any way since I only use legion for all-in-one exploration.
