The launcher updated today after DT when starting Eve, what was in this patch?
Reason i ask is ive just noticed something in a mission for the first time today and wonder if you have applied some of the upcoming changes early. |

I just spoke to the guys in Operations, and they've let me know that the patch contained back end Stackless Python performance fixes to make sure that your internet spaceships work correctly.
Nothing shiny sadly, but good stuff to make the shiny stuff you already have keep working properly

There are many "backend" things that the client does that aren't as far backend as something like the servers of course. Anything we don't visibly see like the algorithms that parse loading of an inventory window or querying data from the server/DB. The sorting of the overview, the loading of 3D models and assets between docking and undocking.
Compared to what is happening underneath the client there are very few things we actually see happen directly. Try actually using the log server sometimes. Just the act of logging in has 100s of actions taking place.

I dunno, my system locks up with a black screen before it gets to the logon screen, if I check the launcher box that says "Close the launcher after starting EVE Online." It's a conspiracy. |
