The cargo container "fix" has totally crippled team mining, wich makes the game alot less appealing to us consumers. As surprising as it may be, we want to be able to actually play this game.
What is missing is a system to trade ore from a mining ship to an industrial ship. Its that easy. That would solve the timer problem and the cargo theft problem. Why havent you done it already one might ask.
Here are 2 suggestions: 1. Module: Mining link. Beam the ore over to a friendly ship in the same gang, possibly an industrial ship. 2. Safe space trade window.
This is a feature that is needed. People are getting fed up.

Nah, moving ore between a non mining ship and an indy should be frought with peril.

I think both are great ideas. Infact the beam over the ore would make mining faster and alot more AFK friendly :P
The can timer isn't that big of a problem. Put some loot in the can and tell the indi pilot not to take it. Every 5 mins someone new can make a can untill everyone has one. If you're mining for a wile make a new can and let the old one die. The ore only looks bugged to the ppl putting it in.
Can theft is another issue though :)

its pretty damn easy to group mine without the risk of 'theft' give the process about 2 minutes of thought and you can come up with an EASY solution to the jettision bug.

And a mobile refinery unit on the indy. And more cargospace and less cargousage by minerals. And some new autotargetting mining lasers.
And ofcause the goto self to base and return. Did I leave anything out?

The main objection to this is that it would make AFK mining too easy, which is something considered A Bad Thing For The Game.
It could, however be used to balance mining between different races' ships a little, if the module required a high slot - Caldari and Minmatar cruisers could use high slots they can't currently use for mining, while the Thorax would have to give up a mining laser; the Amarr ships could use their 'spare' high slot, but since they have less drone space than other cruisers, this promotes balance. The Thorax would still be the best mining cruiser, but would have to take a hit in effectiveness to mount a cargo transfer module.
