Shinra Pilots,
I want you to know that Saladin, Myself, and many of our members have a lot of respect for the majority of you. We didn't want to fight you, and we tried our hardest to convince you that we are not the enemy. I want to show you why we refused to NAP ATUK and any corporation that associated with them. Please view our website, and notice the link on the main page. I hope that noob scriptor and the other senior members of ATUK don't put up with this kind of racist out of character harassment regularly.

I doubt anyone who's read any of thelung's posts and noticed the quality (or lack thereof) is surprised at all. If his previous threads didn't show his ignorance and lack of maturity, this sure as hell does.
Man, after reading the whole thing, I seriously hope he gets kicked out of ATUK. What an embarassment. Unless ATUK condones racism, of course.

The NAP comes with a package, you buy it all or you don't buy it at all ;). But i do not see a problem in thet blog. There is no mention of Shinra as corporation. Though i see Burn Eden (UDIE) mentioned, and SHIN RA is UDIE member (note the space :p).
So i think you misunderstood.

Well as long as thelung187 keeps that kind of smacktalk, racism, and swearing out of the game and doesn't send other ppl links to his site, then there really isn't much you can do about it. Freedom of speech and all. 
I'm glad there aren't people like that in my corp.

The picture of me used in this blog came from a post on the Shinra forums where people were asked to post their rl pictures for fun.
I'm sure this seems funny to many of you, but for me, an Arab and a Muslim this is obscene out of character racism. |

And in reference to your question about Shinra's involvement? Well originally thelung had a rl picture of Saladin posted, superimposed over a picture of ***** Bin Ladin. This picture was originally posted on a Shinra forum, and obviouslly provided by a Shinra member. In addition, Lallente felt the need to comment "Looks like it's ***** Bin Saladin". That's some serious anger and issues to work with, not to mention a massive amount of homophobia that rivals almost everything I've ever read. I certainly wouldn't be proud of having someone like that in my corp. But he is free to say what he wants, even if it makes him look stupid and ignorant.

racism is bad mmmmmmmmmkay  . Smack talk is ok, that um, drivel? no drivel's not strong enough, that garbage is actually quite sickening both physically and mentally.....the idea behind racism eludes me, the color of ones skin is irrelevant, as is their religion. A total lack of respect for everyone and everything is what I saw in that blog.
But I am a firm believer in freedom of speech , which in this case really really sucks. Luckily if you ever see garbage like that in game there's the block button, and for the internet you can simply click "back".

I've been playing Eve for quite a while now, and while the other BoB guys are actually pretty cool (RKK, BNC and a few others) I have never seen a post come from an ATUK member that was not negative.
I'm not sure why that is.

From what i recall during the Curse days, Saladin is a good man, he dosnt deserve crap like that. Few do.

First of all, he didnt get the picture from our forums as he doesnt have access to our private boards. It has NOTHING to do with Shinra. In fact, I was asked to make sure other Botox, ex-Shinra guys did have their pictures on our forums anymore. They had all be removed for some time.
Again, this has NOTHING to do with Shinra.
Also, despite it being rather outlandish I think its pretty funny ****. It's clearly designed to **** ppl off and he seems to have done that rather well. I don't agree with most of it, but it is humerous to me.

I never thought I'd read anything worse than what he says in local...
I was wrong. Out of all the people I've played with or against in this game I respect Atuk the least. That is based purely on the actions of thelung and a half dozen others in Atuk who try so hard to be like him. Pvp qualities aside, in character or not, asshats like this should be forced to play by themselves where they don't make anyone else dumber just by talking.
