As most of you know we are all pod pilots, we live in a goo filled pod with wires on our head (Matrix anyone?).
And as some also know our view of the outside universe is given by a camera drone.
Is really that bastard so though?
Is it undestructable?
Smartbombs can't even destroy it?
And it's invisible to enemys, is it cloaked?
My idea is the following, allow players to destroy each others camera drones, providing a certain time of blindness (flashbang effect on AA).
Prolly some words are badly writen but english is not my first language

According to the Chronicles, every ship is filled with thousands of camera drones, if not more. They get destroyed all the time, but there's instantly a new one to replace it.
While I think your idea is interesting and could make the game interesting, I don't know if it would fit in with the way things are.

Man, what? Flashbang? No. Is somebody trying to make flamebait for the people who call pvp CS in space? Besides, something more realistic would be chaff or flares you could launch to distract missiles or disrupt turret accuracy.

Complex moves like jettisoning oxygen and/or chemicals into gasclouds and igniting those would be more interesting. Possibly doing so by mistake taking someone down with this in the hold as a sideeffect too.
