Errrmm... effort? You mean taking the time to buy the skill on the market?

Edited by: Clementina on 01/05/2005 18:13:16 What's going on is the predictable blueprints are not being replineshed, so you can gather research points and still not have a shot at anything, regardless of how many research points you have in some deciplines. Also in the Starship researching decipline, currently the queue is filled with junk like the 'stealth' bombers, and the elite haulers.
However, since the only thing you have to do to get Research points is to buy the relavent skill, train it, and talk to a research agent once, for some diciplines it is still worth it. Just make sure that you select one that is actually giving out something useful. Or if in doubt, select one of the starship ones, CCP will always make new shiny starships, and one day one of them might even be good.

That all?
I got 98k with one agent, 3k with another in Caldari Starship engineering, not even a wiff of a blueprint..

nothing to see here folks move along and keep those RPs going up - what id like to see is more BPCs given out than BPOs - or keep BPO drops at the current level but drop BPCs a bit more often. 1 run types only - might at least keep interest in research agents.

Five R&D Agents for six months, only L2's mind you, and two small T2 laser BP's to show for it (both from the same agent). Two agents in Amarrian Starship research with around 20k each, 1 laser and two in some other things, nothing for three months.
I'd rather get a BPC more often then waiting for the "big lottery win". Why give someone a BPO who may have 2 weeks with an R&D agent while someone with a year in still gets nothing. Reward "time" and throw us a bone. Even a limited run BPC would be SOMETHING and keep us motivated.
Ive never liked the lottery system. I'd rather have a dedicated research character career path, doing experiments in a lab with rare substances, having failures, but the occasional breakthru, make science a "life".
Of course tomorrow I could get the T2 BS BPO and be all happy (and an instant Billionare several times over). That doesn't erase the fact though that the system isn't "right".

limited run BPCs could be a mid level addition to research agents - could be a lottery as well perhaps a breakdown of the following 5% of all drops BPOs 95% of all lottery drops are BPCs this would require a 19x times drop in overall drops but the BPCs could be the other factor. 80% of those BPC could be low end tech 2 stuff and 20% could be more valuable starships etc.

4 agents doing CSE with 100K RPs each 1 agent doing electromag eng 20K RPs 1 agent doing Hydro eng. 20K RPs
This last one already gave me 4 BPOs but the best was Medium Shield Booster II the rest was a pile of crap.
The lottery hand out is dark to say the least, we don't know for sure if CCP is handling it with honesty, because simply they give no such info about that matter...

i'll be cancelling my research alt account at the end of the month.
he has nearly 100k RP in plasma physics, and the queue has been "nothing predictable" for 4 months.
not worth the effort IMO

"Research Alt" + effort = lol
Do like I do, refuse to do his crap missions and let the points flow freely. doubling your already infinitisemal chances of getting a bpo aint worth the hassle of doing crap missions for little to no reward
Better off grinding lvl4's so you can buy T II bpo's.

I know someone with over 3 million RP in gall starship engineering over many accounts and research alts. THis is exactly why the little guy has to be EXTREMELY lucky to get anything.
Think about it, guy has 5 accounts, 1 has his main player chars on it, but they can still contribute to the overall pool, so 5 accounts x 3 chars each = 15 chars researching ONE FIELD. Each char can potentially have up to 6 agents, if you train research project management to V. So now, 15 x 6 = *90* R&D agents working for one dude. Maybe even the same R&D agents over each char. (Smells a ¦sploit)
So we have players reaping in 90 agents worth of RP a day in a single bloody field..ok, what happens when they land a BPO? Only ONE char and only ONE agent that works for that char, has the RP reduced to zero. Guess what? The guy lost, oh, maybe 50K - 100K RP. Big deal, he's still got a few MILLION RP left. So guess who's going to *probably* get another BPO soon? You guessed it, Mr. ImRichWithNoLifeAndDozensOfAccountsToPwnYouWith.

Uhm, he can have 90 lvl 1 agents:P Unless he spends 23902309 hours doing agent missions.. Besides, he can't train up RPM skill on 3 characters at the same time, meaning he'll be far behind if he trains it on one char at a time:P And if he wants to spend 100$ on EVE each month, while still being able to play only one, maybe 2 chars at a time, then he's free to do so:P ------------------------------------------------ Sig advertisment:

I'm failing to see the problem here. If some nut wants to pay for 5 accounts, more power to him. No difference between that and five people doing it...
