As I see this, I recall how only last night I was in a craft store with my wife, looking at models...telling her that I wish that there were EVE model kits and how I would build them all, if only they existed...
...*ahem* IF ONLY THEY EXISTED!!!
But this, this!!! This is more creative than what I was thinking, and would totally do this. Perhaps you could make some build guides? I would like that...especially a Thanatos or a Nyx. <3

How much does your model weigh? Do you think there could be any chance of getting a orca model to float if made with light enough materials and filled with helium. . I want to try to do something like this but with an orca model. |

I can only imagine the difficulties you would face in this!! A ship with a curved flowing surface (think provi) would work much better for that kinda project IMO
However i would also like to get hold of the files used to make this, or an idea of how to make my own version for different ships |

Not easy...the central longitudinal structure has a wooden dowel running its beam to keep it from flexing. I also reinforced areas with cardboard for strength. All in all bout 1 to 2 lbs. Its made from 120 wt. Cardsrock. I don't think shell ever fly short of a few rocket motors... would be a fun idea... I wanted to mail it to someone but its to dam big. Anyhow...anyone wanting files eve mail me your email adrh and ill shoot you my files.
I want to make the new DD's. But my primary problem is I can't manipulate the skin files. I need them all combined into one Jpeg or PNG with the lights visible... soothing that's above my skill level. If there's a kind and knowledgeable person out there who's willing to assist me ill compensate with a ship for you...

It is my sad duty to inform you that the paper orca has met its end. While docked safely on a desk among several other paper projects, A rogue squadron of gank Talos ( piloted by my english bulldog) apparently became bored while i was away on a dinner trip. the orca was not salvageable and i failed to insure it.
but seriously, she Chewed the whole thing to ****. while i wanted to library deploy the foot to said animal, as she has never chewed any of my papercrafts b4, i do not condone cruelly. needless to say she is relegated to the back yard for 2 weeks and my papercrafts will be placed elsewhere.
Im sorry to let you all down , as i was finalizing completion, but to coin a term " **** happens "

Sorry to hear that happened. It was looking amazing. Would love to see you take a second stab at it. Second time around lets you fix things you didn't like the first time anyway, so perhaps it will come out better.

Fine. As long as there is a ten minute timer for being docked in a station. Also, you can't stop moving in the game. Just add in a way so every ten minutes you are randomly warped to the nearest other player. Keeps people from going AFK. |
