makin a few eve papercraft, i decided to unwrap and make an Orca...well i f**ed up the scale and ended up with a 30 inch monster ship...but its started now i gotta see it thru..

im actually 90% done, just need to assemble all the sub parts and make some kinda stand for it. the things pokin out are fiber optics for lights. Problem is, once done i donknow what imma do with it. i guess i just like the design and build process. anyhow. if your interested in the files, eve mail me. ill send ya the files. just print out on card stock, use xacto and glue and you to can have an orca. ill post some finished pics by this weekend. |

It looks good, how is it done? Do you just print out the colours of the orca and fold where it seems right to fold? Is there a frame of chicken wire or something? Will there be paper mache dinosaurs to gank it? |

Came expected a whine thread about the tanking of an Orca. Found something much more interesting.

Too bad CCP doesn't get the hint they have the info for ships...they can sell packet of ships people can print out and build but guess that's not working to fill game up with things to do, but brand loyalty is also a seller. |

Strictly speaking you would probably use Taloses to gank something like an Orca, unless you have a huge pirate corporation that enjoys running lowsec incursions :)
And an Orca surrounded by hulks and catalysts would make an awesome mobile!

its all card stock. i take the 3d model and "unfold" it sort of. like taking the 3d model and disecting it so that i can flatten it out, oce done i arrange it so that i can print it out and reconstruct it. |

of course ive got alot of patches ill have to touch up with some paint and clean it up a bit, but this things to big for me to keep it. i got no place to put it with all my other ship models! i think ill con one of my corp mates to take it off my hands...or maby ill make some Trashers as suggested, some matches and an M80 and let nature take its course....but then ill need to make some concord ships and some tears... |

Ha! But I would still be sad, it is looking to become an awesome model.
I always liked the Concord Battleship, kinda sad they didn't put it in their LP Store in Incursions. |

CCP! I demand that paper models of all EVE ships be made available on the EVE store!
Print out the design plus the plans and include a cd with the printout and plans on it in case we screw up. Perhaps add some wall outlet powered led's so we can have similar lighting effects like this guy did!
It's a lot cheaper than plastic models and they can be made much bigger and more impressive.
Personally, I would like a paper model of both the new Vargur and probably one of the Titans (Avatar or Rag, can't decide).

promised a corp mate a Chimera, but a Wyvern may be dooable....capships are a pain in the s$$ however due to surfaces...so many nooks n cranny. |
